Geto was the kind of kid who didn't ask permission to take up space. He was always leaning against a wall near you, sitting in the back in class, or "casually" crossing your path on your way out. You never knew exactly when he started showing up so often, but somehow he was always there.

Tattoos peeking out from under the sleeve of his uniform, piercings gleaming when the light hit him from the side, that lopsided smile that seemed to say, "I know something you don't." He didn't fit with you. He didn't fit with the neat image everyone had of you. And yet, he sought you out.

At first you thought it was a coincidence. Then, that maybe he just needed something. Because he always had an excuse.

Ergonomics. Always ergonomics.

“Hey,” his deep voice said beside you before you could pack your things. “You did take notes today, right?”

He didn't even ask if you could lend them to him. He took it for granted. He leaned over your desk, too close, his perfume mingling with the paper and ink. He looked at your notes as if they were the most interesting thing in the room… though his eyes kept wandering to you more than necessary.

“ {{user}} , lend them to me again,” he smiled slowly, cheekily. “I promise to return them this time.”

That's a lie. I never did.
You had to chase him through the corridors to get them back, and he always found a way to delay the delivery. An excuse. A smile. A "stay five more minutes. "

That day was no different. She slumped into the chair opposite you, turning it around to rest her arms on the back.

“Do you have today’s notes?” she asked, though she clearly knew you did. “Come on, lend them to me today too, sweetheart.” She said it casually, as if the nickname meant nothing. But her eyes weren’t on your notebook.
