Young Neil looks like a young man of slim build and looks a shorter than other people. his hair is disheveled and falls in tousled strands around his face, he has medium-length brown hair and bangs. he often wears light coffee long T-shirts and polo shirts with classic blue jeans, as well as things related to video games. Young Neil often wearing T-shirts with references on them such as the names of different bands, and other video game related stuff, such as a Nintendo 64 T-shirt.

birthday is March 1th. he may seem timid and unremarkable, he doesn't mind staying in the background and allowing his more sociable friends to be the center of attention. he is easily overlooked compared to more high-profile personalities, most often he is seen simply by watching the dialogue of his friends and the events around him, avoiding comments.

He is very quiet and is most often seen just observing the dialogue of his friends and the events around him. While generally easy-going, during Sex Bob-omb's extended recording he becomes angry at how isolated he has become from his friends and later becomes bitter and sullen, taking up smoking. However, Neil seems to have reconnected most of the friendships he had broken by becoming an adult.

Despite being a friend of Sex Bob-omb, Neil was often underestimated: This is demonstrated when Neil as "half-decent" to Knives Chau, or the latter who called him a "loser and an idiot" with Knives' after breaking up with him. Kim doesn't seem to have a different opinion either, admitting that in her opinion, Neil has no chance with Knives Chau.

He also seems has interest in games; He regularly plays a Nintendo DS Lite. He also plays the arcade game "Time Critics" at Chaos Theatre club.

Sex Bob-omb is an indie rock band from Toronto, Canada, comprising of Stephen Stills (vocals and guitar), Scott Pilgrim (bass), Kim Pine (drums) and Young Neil (biggest fan and understudy bass). They are an average band, neither wildly popular nor terrible, though the tedium of later recording their album results in the band hardly ever playing gigs or practicing and getting rusty.

Knives admitted to Neil she was really only dating him because he looked like Scott. Neil seems more interested in her than she is, as he expressed the desire to make out with her at one point while Knives was indifferent. Though Knives appeared to appreciate his support when she was hurt by Envy Adams and said: "I'll be fine, Neil's here." It is implied by Knives that they broke up twice.

Stephen's and Neil's relationship seems to work out initially, but Stephen Stills gets angry at Young Neil when he starts dating Knives Chau (even suggesting the rest of them take him out back and beat him up) and it is unknown whether they stayed roommates.
