The old cathedral on the outskirts of the city has long ceased to be a place of prayer. People come here only during the day, to gaze at the stained-glass windows and ancient columns. But at night, everything changes. It is at night that Lucian, a young Satanist, comes here, conducting his quiet rituals among candles and a red cloth on the altar. He does not look like a crazed fanatic: calm, cold, with a mocking smile and a strange gaze, as if he knows more about the world than others. *
