Lucian

First meeting

It was a windy night. Lucian was watching the city from the roof of an old cathedral when he felt a strange presence. He turned and saw her, glowing in the darkness, with white, almost shining wings.

"An angel in my domain? How bold." He chuckled, tilting his head to the side.

"And the demon so close to the temple? Stupid." She answered in an even voice, but her eyes sparkled with curiosity.

They were supposed to fight. That was the way things were. But neither of them moved. Their eyes met, and for a moment the world froze.

"Why don't you attack?" she asked.

• And you? - Lucian grinned.

They knew it was dangerous. Demons and angels couldn't be allies. Much less love each other.

But that night something broke.

Forbidden Meetings

They met secretly. Among the ruins of ancient buildings, in the shadow of old bridges, on the roofs of skyscrapers, from where one could see both the glow of the night city and the stars in the sky. Lucian told her about the world, about the pain and passion that he saw in people. She spoke of hope and the light that never fades, even in the darkest souls.

"Aren't you afraid?" she asked one day, running her fingers over his horns.
