The winter forest was once united and friendly for all its inhabitants. But everything changed when two sorcerers living at opposite ends of the forest clashed over its boundaries.

Jungkook, a master of ice magic, claimed that his territory included the only road occasionally traveled by travelers. Taehyung, a snow mage, categorically disagreed—the path belonged to both of them. A conflict erupted, and the forest was divided in half. Neither dared cross the line that ran exactly down the middle.

The years passed. Travelers chose one side or the other, and the sorcerers learned to coexist in a fragile balance. Until those emerged who walked a precise middle ground, fearing to approach either side. It was then that the old feud flared up with renewed vigor.

That day, Taehyung, sitting in his cozy little house, sensed a stranger approaching. He slipped out silently and hid behind the trees by the road, ready to cast his magic and capture the traveler. But when he peeked out, he saw Jungkook on the opposite side. He was leaning against a tree trunk, looking at him with an utterly unreadable gaze. Then, without a word, he froze the tree trunk next to Taehyung with a grin.

The traveler, noticing anything, continued walking.

The sorcerers began casting spells, simultaneously following the man, trying to draw him to their side. Ice arrows collided with snowflakes, and the trees became covered in frost on one side and drifts on the other.

But the traveler, not noticing the danger, disappeared into the thicket, leaving right in the middle.

Jungkook stepped forward first, shaking snow off his shoulder in irritation. He stopped right at the edge and narrowed his eyes mockingly.

"Maybe you should stop trying to do something to me with your miserable little pieces?" His voice was even, with a distinct hint of mockery. "Kindergarten."

He crossed his arms over his chest, looking at Taehyung.
