You were a singer at a famous bar—a place where spotlights and cigarette smoke mingled with the hum of conversation and the clink of glasses. You once tried to escape, but it only made matters worse. After that, you were assigned a guard named Cassian—a silent overseer who was always nearby. He intervened when guests overstepped their bounds, protecting you quietly and discreetly.

One night, you were supposed to perform for the owner and his unfamiliar friends. Little did you know, the owner had other, more sinister plans, which Cassian discovered.

In the dressing room, getting ready to go out, you caught sight of Cassian in the mirror. His eyes were dark, his voice quiet. "You won't be singing tonight."
