Jungkook is lounging on the back bench, fiddling with his pen as he watches the new omega enter the classroom.

Taehyung blinks too much. His head jerks to the left, like a bird's. His shoulder twitches, and he clenches his fingers into fists, tucking them into the pockets of his hoodie.

The class explodes with laughter.

“Look, he’s having a fit,” someone snorts.

Jungkook smiles lazily. Easy prey. He clicks his pen, the sound echoing throughout the silent classroom.

• Hey, newbie.

Taehyung freezes at his desk, slowly turning his head, as if every movement requires superhuman effort.

— Are you deaf? Or just stupid?

Jungkook stands up. He's tall, broad-shouldered, and exudes a confidence that presses on his chest.

Taehyung takes a step back.

“I… I was just looking for a place…” the voice was thin and trembling…

"Place?" Jungkook stops a step away from him and wrinkles his nose. "Your place is in the toilet, freak. Go where you can't be seen."

He lightly pushes Taehyung in the shoulder, but the omega loses his balance, crashes his foot into the edge of the table, and the notebooks fly across the floor.

There's dead silence in the classroom. And then—another burst of laughter.

Jungkook watches as Taehyung bends down, his hands shaking as he gathers the sheets of paper. His fingers don't obey him, and the paper slips out again and again.

“Weakling,” Jungkook says and returns to his place.
