Hero X

As revealed in episode 12, DOS is currently gathering data and information to uncover X's identity, compiling a list of his associates and their relationships, along with any other relevant information they can gather. It was said that Hero X had a bad relationship with powerful Gloria, CEO Yan Mo. Hero X is said to have some kind of relationship with the rebel hero NINE and is suspected of being his ally. An unknown hero whose first name is “???” has some kind of connection to Hero X. Shipwreck has also been included as an associate of Hero X. Since his appearance, none of the heroic agencies, not even the Hero Affairs Commission, had been able to obtain any information about his identity, as shown even when Mighty Glory and TREEMAN had something concrete about him until the aftermath of the Smile Incident. This enigma protected Hero X before he became a target of the HAC and the Hero Agency outside of his work as a hero, as they were unable to find him, let alone attack him. Hero Smile and Ahu were the only heroes who knew X's true form before Rock managed to find out by discovering his connection to Smile and informing the HAC about it. Despite being the main protagonist, he is currently one of the most mysterious characters in the Be a Hero X donghua series.

Trivia He always has an X on his tie, even before he wins the X title. The animal associated with him is a rabbit.[3] He is the character who has held the title of Hero X the longest, having maintained it for five years and having won three Hero Tournaments. As stated by the President of the Hero Affairs Commission, Hero X's continued dominance has made the commission fear him, as his continued reign as X for the fourth time likely ensured the continued growth of his powers and potentially allowed him to obtain the same godlike power as Zero. The evolution of his Trust Value was implied in episode 22, where his fans have notably begun to think and spread the belief that he is a god due to his immense and inexplicable powers. As Micky pointed out, the physical appearance of his Hero Form does not appear anywhere within City X's identification system, essentially making him a "ghost". In one of their trailers we can see X drinking from a cup with the FOMO logo, which suggests that he works for the company under his civilian identity. Following his emergence and rapid rise to power as the new X, many of the heroic agencies have begun to investigate him.

Trust Trust: In Being Hero X In the universe, individuals can gain superpowers through public belief. For example, if enough people believe someone can fly, that person acquires the ability to do so. The more trust or faith a person receives, the stronger their power becomes. However, despite being an unknown and anonymous hero with no prior public exposure or background before appearing in the 18th Tournament of Heroes, Hero X already possessed immense power and extraordinary abilities. This baffled the general public, other Heroes, the Hero Affairs Commission, and even the Heroic Agencies, as it would have been impossible for him to achieve such strength without accumulating significant trust—something he couldn't have gained without widespread recognition. However, as a holder of the title X for over three terms, Hero X likely accumulated a tremendous amount of trust value over time. In 40 AD C., the HAC was increasingly concerned about his continued reign as the number 1 hero, fearing that his trust value might be approaching the threshold required to achieve godhood, as Zero once did. When he intervened in the conflict between Dragon Boy and Nice, it became apparent that his followers had begun to see him as a god due to his overwhelming and inexplicable power; his fanbase began to mirror that of Zero.

Calculations: As implied by the fluidity with which he can manipulate the flow of all the battles he has fought, Hero X can calculate and predict the trajectories of multiple interacting elements, both living and non-living. To fully harness the potential of his complex abilities, regardless of their nature, he needs near-perfect information on the positions, movements, trajectories, and intentions of his enemies. Tricks: He performs tricks several times with immense and profound precision. Coin: As seen when he threw a coin at one of his pursuers and it landed perfectly in a vending machine slot several meters away, X has a lot of experience with coin-based tricks. Anti-nausea: Despite frequently teleporting and switching between dimensions and art styles, he doesn't experience dizziness or nausea, probably because he pre-calculates the outcome of each transition and prepares for it beforehand, allowing him to maintain perfect balance.

Teleportation: Hero X can seamlessly switch between 2D and 3D spaces to teleport through locations in both worlds. He can also choose who accompanies him, as seen when he brought Ahu along during a contactless teleportation, suggesting he only needs to focus on the intended person. Matter Manipulation: Within the 2D dimension, Hero X can freely manipulate any matter, as first demonstrated when he transformed the car used to run him over into a sword for combat. Matter-to-Energy Manipulation/Conversion: Later, during his battle against the lower-ranked heroes, Hero X transformed an energy blast from Error into a soda can, which Graffiti King then threw away, reverting it to its energy form. He also used a coin to manifest an energy shield that blocked a concentrated energy attack from Dream Gran. Force Manipulation: Hero X was later shown the power to infuse a powerful amount of force into objects he throws. Having infused the coin with immense force, he crushed Crash's face and sent him flying off his feet.

Limited Omniscience: By revealing the truth about the HAC and De Yan Mo to Ahu with genuine intentions, Hero X displays a degree of omnipotence, accessing information and knowledge at will. He visualizes scenes from the past to the present, demonstrating his awareness across time and events. Image Manipulation: As Micky implies, a significant aspect of Hero X's powers lies in his ability to control, manipulate, create, and influence visual images, such as photographs, paintings, graffiti, and other artistic media, and merge them with his power to reshape reality. This was supported by the hero Graffiti King, who possessed similar powers and was able to follow Hero X into his alternate 2D dimension. 2D Dimension: During his battles against the Phobiaclonas, HAC agents, and lower-ranking heroes, Hero X can freely switch between the 3D dimension and an alternate 2D dimension by snapping his fingers, transforming into a 2D image, graffiti, or artwork on a 3D surface. He often uses this to evade attacks by escaping to the 2D realm or to trap opponents there while remaining in 3D. Image Manifestation: While escaping from HAC agents and heroes, Hero X was able to manifest a Thundersteed car from a nearby billboard and take it into the 3D dimension and use it to get away.

2D/3D Interaction: As demonstrated, even after transitioning to the 2D dimension, X can still partially and physically interact with objects in the 3D dimension at will. He is shown opening a door while appearing as a 2D pixel image on a wall. This interaction could be possible for all beings trapped in the 2D dimension; however, only X is seen performing it with confidence, reflecting his deeper understanding and experience with these different dimensions and art styles, as he is the primary known initiator of such dimensional shifts. 4D Action: In Episode 24, X is shown to be capable of traveling to even higher planes, implying that he is within the fourth dimension. This is demonstrated when he teleports Ahu to an empty realm containing a black hole, a glass floor, and a 4D glass tesseract-like environment filled with fragments. Dimensional Manipulation: During his fight with the agents and heroes of HAC, Hero X demonstrated the ability to manipulate the terrain and environment of the dimensions he teleports to, using them strategically in combat. Later, he displays even finer control, as seen when he shows Ahu the story of Zero and the Hero Affairs Commission within a mirror-shard-like dimension. There, Hero X freely reshapes the landscape and attributes of alternate dimensions to present Ahu with an accurate and realistic account of past and present events.

Dimensional Travel: Often depicted through changes in art style, Hero X can traverse multiple dimensions at will with a snap of his fingers. 2D to 3D: Transforms the entire general 2D world into a 3D world with a snap, or rather changes the perception of the world from 2D to 3D view. 3D to 2D: He can reverse his changes. Partial 3D to 2D: After converting the world to 3D, he can selectively render specific people or objects in 2D within that space. He usually remains in 3D himself, though he sometimes intentionally chooses to become 2D. This is his most versatile (and consequently, most used) ability and arguably his most powerful. Targets are generally converted into thin, paper-like planes that he can fold like paper from the 3D world. Paper: In his battle with Dragon Boy, where the latter was literally folded before returning to normal in a matter of seconds, Hero X demonstrated the ability to alter reality so that anything he points at becomes paper and can be manipulated as such. This is especially evident when he transformed a truck into an improvised sword. Shadow: Can instantly crush opponents against walls or floors like shadows, presumably killing them instantly. Battle Space: When he decides to also become 2D, he and his opponents can fight within a contained 2D realm without causing any damage to the outside world.

Furthermore, because he already possessed overwhelming powers before becoming famous, it has been strongly implied that Hero X's powers do not originate from Confidence or Fear.

Dimension at Your Fingertips[2]: Considering primarily the character's daily work, Hero X's powers have been shown to encompass a wide range of effects. It has been suggested that X's abilities may involve selectively altering the laws of reality, similar to how a manga author or concept artist shapes their work. A suitable name for this power could be Ideogenesis. He can freely manipulate his environment to manifest his imagination, reshaping the universe to suit his desires. In one scene, X is seen teleporting from solid ground to the edge of a rooftop as enemies leap toward him; many of them then reappear above or beside the rooftop and plummet through the air immediately after the transition. All of his powers appear to be activated and triggered by snapping his fingers. Regardless of the exact mechanics, Hero X has demonstrated the following abilities:

Skills Although the details and limitations of his powers have not been clarified, the variety of effects on display varies enormously, and X has been shown to use his ability in battle while moving at high speed and snapping his fingers, the latter of which appears to cause various effects, including teleportation and transmutation, as well as both local and global modifications to reality itself.

As shown when he first appeared during Day 18 of the Hero Tournament, X secured an overwhelming victory in every match he fought, instantly defeating each of his opponents within seconds of the matches beginning and breaking all known records to date. He went from being an unknown, unranked hero to one of the top 10 at the time of his match against Queen, before defeating her in seconds and becoming the new X.

Upon interacting with Smile, although initially annoyed by the unannounced visit, Hero X welcomed him for drinks and to talk about their frustrations and struggles, showing his supportive and friendly nature. Like Smile, he enjoys drinking and eating meat skewers to relax.

As a hero, Hero X exudes extreme confidence and composure, maintaining a calm and collected demeanor even during intense battles. He remains unflappable when facing powerful opponents, displaying complete faith in his overwhelming power. This was first demonstrated in the 18th Hero Tournament, where he casually encountered Reina, smiling and greeting her despite her formidable reputation. Later, when Smile informed him that the HAC had ordered his execution to remove him from the X position, Hero X still showed no fear, even knowing that the top heroes and agency directors wanted him eliminated and now had official approval. In episode 24, unlike most heroes, Hero X is fully aware of the dark side of the hero industry and understands just how corrupt the Hero Affairs Commission and the leading agencies truly are. It is implied that his refusal to reveal his identity or join any agency stems from his knowledge of their unethical practices.

He probably avoids joining a hero agency because he hates being controlled by fate or the system that governs heroes. He says Ahu that they are merely pawns moved by the guiding hand of fate and that they promise to defy it.

Personality In his hero form, he defeats his opponents with confident arrogance. In his civilian form, he keeps a low profile, displaying introverted tendencies and stating that he doesn't feel lonely and prefers solitude.[1] However, he claims to be tired of working overtime until midnight, demonstrating his hard work and dedication to his job.

Smile noted that his civilian side is overly pragmatic. Hero X also seems to have a tidy street smarts, as he dislikes making a mess of his apartment and keeps his living space very clean. Unlike most heroes, he prefers to work alone, is not affiliated with any sponsors, and chooses not to live in the Hero Tower. This highlights his disinterest in fame or glory. He also demonstrates kindness, such as being the first to give Lucky Cian a coin after hearing her sing. Hero X admits that he originally had no interest in becoming a hero and, in fact, feels burdened by having held the title X for so many years. He even stated that he didn't mind losing his title in the next hero tournament and that anyone who wanted his rank could take it.

Appearance In his hero form, Hero X has slicked-back white hair and square-framed glasses with orange lenses. His outfit consists of a white suit with red cuffs and a red tie with a metal "X" symbol attached. He also wears white pants and white shoes with red-soled rims. The shirt under the white suit is black.

In his usual attire, his black hair is styled in a standard bowl cut. He typically wears a black suit and round-framed glasses.
