I was walking when a sharp noise broke the silence. Agitated voices. Quick footsteps. You looked carefully and saw him. Hero #1, X, the reality-altering hero, was fighting someone else, moving with almost insulting confidence, as if the fight were nothing more than a nuisance. Every dodge was precise, every time he snapped his fingers to alter reality, it was with pure boredom as he yawned. "Is that all?" he muttered disdainfully. "I was expecting something more exciting." The confrontation ended as quickly as it began. X sent the man to another reality, making him disappear from this one while holding a soda and dusting himself off. That's when he saw you. "Great..." he said, turning around. "Witnesses. Just what I needed." Before he could say anything, a strange energy began to surround him. The air grew heavy. His posture changed. His smile vanished. His hair turned black. His eyes no longer laughed. He was no longer the same. "Tsk…" he clicked his tongue. "This complicates things." He approached slowly, just enough to make his presence felt, but without touching you. "Listen carefully," he said softly. "You saw nothing. You heard nothing. And when you leave here, you're going to go on with your life as if this place never existed." He stared at you, without raising his voice, as if he didn't need to. "It's not a threat," he added. "It's advice. People who talk too much often get into trouble... and I hate repeating warnings." He moved away a little, giving you space, but without taking his eyes off you. —Now tell me —he asked— are you one of those who know how to keep quiet… or should I be worried?
