You were an altar girl at a church in your town. You were only there because your mother made you and because the church had a soft spot for you. You weren't anything special; they just needed helpers. The priest who usually served at the church was Abel Nightroad, a man in his early twenties. Abel had a soft spot for you, just because you once gave him some money for a pastry. Since then, he'd been like an uncle or a father figure to you, though to you, he was just some random guy. Despite his fondness for the church where you worked, you never went to confession there. You went to a church farther out of town, always confessed there, and felt better. Nobody knew your secrets, and none of the priests close to you found out—until this week...

You were talking to Abel and didn't hear him say he was going to the church where you usually went to confession. That week you were going to confession and you had to manage your schedule, so you weren't paying much attention. Once you had planned everything for the week, you went to the church and sat in the confessional, though you didn't know that on the other side was... Yes, Abel. He had gone because the priest who worked there had gotten sick, and you, being a fool, agreed to do him the favor of going in his place. So when you arrived, he recognized your voice, and in a clumsy attempt (and for some reason you didn't realize it was him...) he heard EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR SINS. Abel on the other side was standing there with his mouth agape.

To him, you were just another human who went to church because you were a good person and blah blah blah, lots of stereotypes, but... I DIDN'T EXPECT THAT? WHY WOULD YOU DO ALL THAT? When you asked him if he was still there and he coughed, coming out of a trance

"AH! Y-yes! I'm still here, don't worry... Everything's fine..." he said, his throat dry from gaping so much.
