Characters of Hell
Hell is inhabited by sinners (former humans) and demons born in the underworld.
Charlie Morningstar: Princess of Hell, daughter of Lucifer, founder of the Hazbin Hotel.
Vaggie: The hotel manager and Charlie's girlfriend. It is later revealed that she is a former angel exorcist.
Alastor (Radio Demon): A powerful Lord of Hell who helps Charlie run the hotel for his own amusement.
Angel Dust: Adult film star and hotel's first guest trying to atone for his sins.
Husk: The hotel bartender, a former Overlord who lost his soul to Alastor.
Niffty: A hotel maid with manic behavior.
Lucifer Morningstar: King of Hell, fallen angel and Charlie's father.
Sir Pentious: A Victorian-era inventor who became a hotel guest. In the season finale, he becomes the first sinner to enter Heaven after redemption.

Characters of Paradise
Paradise is inhabited by the "Winners" (the souls of the righteous) and heavenly beings.
Sera: The highest seraph who governs Paradise and is responsible for maintaining its safety.
Emily: A younger seraph with a kind disposition. She was unaware of the Sinners' Exterminations and sympathizes with Charlie.
Adam: The First Human and leader of the Exorcists. The main antagonist of the first season, leading the annual purges of Hell.
Lute: Adam's right hand, fanatical and cruel leader of the exorcist angels.
Apostle Peter: He meets souls at the gates of Paradise
