Day of Dusk: The Border is a post-apocalyptic roleplay game created by Dylanjkl. This game takes the concept of a post-apocalyptic map and has a game-play similar to the After the Flash series. The action takes place in the wasteland with their citizens.

Greeting

Welcome to the Wastelands. Enter the Border as a wastelander to become a citizen, or scavenge the ruins for scraps and credits, raid the border, form uneasy alliances or factions, or survive by your own rules in a land where law is dead and danger is always constant. Or join AEGIS International and climb the ranks, secure the Border, suppress raiders, enforce order, join divisions and lead disciplined operations to reclaim control from the chaos. Extra Locations

Sandingo: Despite being much smaller than Roseweld, is still a stable settlement that is going strong. While some predict it will eventually be completely overshadowed by the larger settlements such as Roseweld and Jokumbia and eventually collapse, it is currently alive and healthy primarily because of its position between the three largest mining locations of Fort Poliax, Rockstar Mines, and Zone-14.

Raiders Bunker: The Tarsadan "Raiders" Bunker is a pre-war nuclear bunker that was founded by the AEGIS Cooperation. Formally, it is called AEGIS International Bunker 34-B, however after AEGIS abandoned it it was reclaimed by raiders and renamed to the International Raiders Bunker. The bunker now serves as a headquarters for wastelanders and a rare weapon shop for wastelanders. The bunker is located close to the VTOL Crash Site, inside a boarded up cave with some of the only greenery left in the wasteland.

Zone-14: Arguably one of the most dangerous place in the entire map, Zone-14 is a place of much mystery. It is highly radioactive, and without the right equipment, you can last only a few seconds. However, after buying a Civilian Grade Respirator and a filter from Roseweld, wastelanders are prepared to dive into the Zone full of mysteries and dangers lurking in Zone 14 because it was originated as a research bunker, and mining site for the AEGIS Corporation, Zone-14 has long been abandoned due to enormous radiation levels created after the second and third resource war.

Smuggler's Hideout: a location commonly used by raiders to hide away and illegally print scrap and credits using printers. The hideout is found in a leaning tower outside the Roseweld settlement which can be entered via a tunnel behind the Behelium Powerplant.

Extra Locations

Helvarna Caverns: a massive set of caves and mines located near Jokeumbia that extend into Fort Poliax. The caves are home to some of the rarest resources located within the wasteland around AEGIS outside of Zone 14. The caves are generally seen as dangerous due to their labyrinth-like structure and occasional collapses. Despite all of this, many raiders have and still use the caves to gather resources and make a profit.

Rockstar Volcano: The caves had a different name at one point, a much more militarized and numerical one, back when it was just another mine that AEGIS used to extract more mundane resources and even some less than ordinary like uranium. Although not as commonly found. Very early on in AEGIS’s life, these mines were just that. A mine. Although after some time had passed, closer to when the war began, the miners had stumbled upon something rather… odd. Many reports of the uncomfortable working conditions within the mines had been made. The heat was the main complaint. When they figured out what had caused such an issue, two things quickly happened. First, AEGIS halt the cave usage as a mine for safety reasons, and second, a geothermal reactor was built to create renewable energy to sustain their border.

Ye’ Old Town of Roseweld: Itreferred to as “Roseweld”, is currently the largest active settlement, and the second largest overall settlement in the AEGIS Wasteland. It's a prime hub for traders, raiders, miners, and most wastelanders in general. It contains multiple shops, some of which sell suspiciously dangerous items, most of which were gathered from crates scattered across the wasteland or seized from AEGIS raids.

Locations

The Wasteland contains many locations, each with different mysteries and secrets.

Fort Poliax: is a popular wasteland location which is commonly used for trade. Fort Poliax is moderately large and contains three major points; the lower, middle, and upper area. Fort Poliax was founded not too long after the AEGIS border was founded, for the use of being a trading outpost rather than a fully fledged border. Fort Poliax is the main hub of the wasteland for trading, and also houses a small number of wastelanders and current day traders. Fort Poliax is also equipped with a large radio tower for daily transmissions from survivors outside the area.

Behelium Robotics Research Outpost: is an abandoned technology research center located near the Roseweld settlement. The structure is fairly empty, but contains a few crates and a closed-off room that requires a battery to open. The area itself is fenced off, although such fencing is severely damaged, allowing for ease of access.

Jokeumbia Regional Mall: Jokeumbia is a Special Classification Settlement on the farside of the wasteland from the Border. Despite its notable size and reputation as a large settlement, very few wastelanders arrive there anymore. Jokeumbia has a notable, important history, and is a major landmark in the wasteland outside of the Border.

VTOL Crash Site: Somewhere in the wasteland, an AV-585 "Warrior II" crash site (also simply called the VTOL Crash Site) is the current location of the AV-585's remains. Warrior II was known to stop responding to contact at 15:41 GMT time on 8/5/2171, however it is unknown when exactly the VTOL crashed.

AEGIS Engineering Division

Formed: December 19, 2025 Function: Supportive

Leadership: Administrative Overwatch [REDACTED] Unit Overwatch Commissioner [REDACTED]

Motto: "Trained to Last"

The AEGIS Engineering Division (also known by their abbreviation "AED") is AEGIS International's primary technical and maintenance team, responsible for ensuring critical technology upholds its functionality, and providing support and equipment to the many colleagues reliant on it. They act as the facilities backbone, working alongside the many divisionals to strengthen their efforts, and keep the facility running. They work with many of AEGIS International's most critical pieces of machinery, such as its on-site fedoratomic reactor, the many lifts and electrical systems around the facility, and the many complex pieces of research equipment, utilized by the AEGIS Research Division.

They also work to manufacture and provide AEGIS personnel with essential and useful pieces of equipment, may it be critical for their divisional duties, or a significantly more powerful weapon, providing strengthened offense in combat.

AED personnel wear specialized combatics in order to aid in their tasks. AED has two combatics, the AED-PPE (AED Personal Protective Equipment) and ARC Hazardous Environment Suit which is similar to ARD Biohazard Combatics.

AED-PPE has a Light Protection Carrier Vest and minimal radiation resistance. This armor is intended for basic repair tasks around the border and general duties around the border including the Reactor.

The AED ARC Hazardous Environment Suit has a Heavy Torso Protection Vest (2nd highest only to PKSF). This armor is intended for wasteland expeditions, facility defense, hazardous areas or dangerous duties but was implemented due to AED targeted by Hostiles Raiders to cause more problems towards AEGIS International.

AEGIS Research Division

Formed: March 15th, 2018 Function: Supportive

Leadership: Administrative Overwatch [REDACTED] Unit Overwatch Commissioner [REDACTED]

Motto: "Technology at its Finest"

The AEGIS Research Division, also known by their abbreviation "ARD", is the science division within AEGIS, their primary responsibility being dealing with infections. their duties include:

Curing any infected on-site personnel and wastelanders. Controlling outbreaks. Researching and testing various infectious diseases. Scanning individuals to ensure they are clear of infections using the Infection Scanner / Advanced Infection Scanner Bin duties. Trading with wastelanders for Fedorium Batteries, Fedorium Minicores and Fedoralite Ore. Maintaining the border's on-site reactor

These combatics feature a mask that grants all ARD members immunity to HC-191-B/Stone Cancer. The scientist combatics give personnel wearing them Field Protection Vest without any sort of head protection helmet, however, During outbreaks, ARD personnel wear the Bio-Hazard Combatics to further reduce the risk of infection, rendering ARD immune to all known diseases except FF-899-A. The Bio-Hazard Combatics features a gas mask and oxygen tank. Those wearing the Bio-Hazard Combatics also make a constant breathing noise until the combatics are taken off. The Bio-Hazard Combatics give personnel wearing them Special Tactical Protection Vest.

Extra note; ARD holds the highest amount of authority during Infection and Evacuation protocols, currently with authority right under HiCOM. All AEGIS are to follow ALL orders given. TTS, MRT and SAU are all made to assist ARD in the completion of their duties due to the severe importance of their duties. Many of the technologies across the site were created by ARD, those include the PKSF Shield, On-site Reactor, DEW weapons and more. Of all seven divisions, ARD remains the 2nd most classified due to their heavy connections with infections and dangerous items researched.

Peacekeeper Special Forces

It's no surprise given their advanced combatics that they are vastly superior in terms of survivability compared to any other division, they are given a baseline Heavy PPV or Piercing Protection Vest armor in addition to an energy shield that can destroyed in piercing rounds. The energy shield only protects the forward-facing direction, leaving the sides and back of a PKSF vulnerable. Notably, the energy shield is penetration resistant until broken, meaning a PKSF can take 2 DEW-1S shots to kill from the front without any problem. PKSF combatics also come with a built-in VIP tracker which helps lead them to any online Overwatch+ to assist with their protection.

The AEGIS Intelligence Agency, also known by their abbreviation "AIA", is the core investigation and data analysis unit of the AEGIS Corporation. Their primary responsibility is processing threats to AEGIS International (such as identifying raider factions, dangerous individuals, and individuals that break guidelines in a less-than-obvious way such as alternate accounts). These secretive individuals deal with both internal and external investigations depending on the incident and are skilled in interrogation tactics.

They are responsible for tasks such as:

Identifying raider factions. Performing interrogations on suspicious individuals. Bin duties. (although they are rarely seen doing this) Observing.

Most of their duties are [CLASSIFIED] however, it can happen from time to time for a young and suspicious account to come to the processing booths. When they put their hand into the scanner, "CONTACT AIA" can pop up. In this case, the one operating the booth must go to the AIA External Communications server, and report said individual, if there are no AIA Personnel in game at the time. After that, AIA then [CLASSIFIED], their equipment and weapons are classified but mostly suppressed, they also have an ability called LANF or known as Light Absorbing Nanofield systematically designed by AEGIS Research Division, the LANF allows AIA agents to turn themselves to a light absorbing ventablack image on all cameras and light absorbing focals (eyes, lenses, etc), there is an idle sound queue and glitching particles that appear off them while having it enabled.

Administered Specialist

Specialists that show exceptional activity in the AEGIS Academy may be promoted to Administered Specialist. You need to be graduated from the AEGIS Officer Academy and other requirements to be eligible for this promotion.

Specialist

Administered Field Agent that show exceptional activity in the AEGIS Academy may be promoted to Specialist. Personnel Specialist+ can approve their own AEGIS Patrols.

Specialist Command

Specialist Command consists of additional ranks following Administered Field Agent.

Administered Field Agent

Achieved after passing an application. This rank is primarily focused on hosting lessons in the AEGIS Academy. Administered Field Agents may take a total of ten personnel on patrols. They can apply to the AEGIS Officer Academy.

Experienced Field Agent

This is the highest rank achievable through points in AEGIS, and it's only held by the most loyal and talented members. After becoming an EFA, members are able to apply to Administered Field Agent. This rank is permitted to take up to seven members above the rank of Operative (including themselves) on a patrol.

Senior Field Agent

This rank has the same weapons, duties, and responsibilities as a Field Agent. This rank is permitted to take up to five members above the rank of Operative (including themselves) on a patrol.

Field Agent

Field Agents are higher on the command scale than ordinary non-Officer+ personnel. They are allowed to go outside the facility for patrols (providing it has been authorized by a member of Site Control or Regional Command). FA+ can open and close the main border gate if they are the highest rank in-game with no Site Control present. They are also given an L-2 keycard. Upon reaching this rank, members are able to take three members above the rank of Operative (including themselves) on a patrol. It is possible for any rank to be handpicked as a Field Agent by an Officer+, though this is extremely rare. When it does happen, however, the person handpicked is usually at the rank of Veteran Operative already. There is no specific number of people that have to handpick the person. Field Agent+ also gain access to FA tower and the Stone platform where a max of 2 FA+ can post at a time. Field Agents also gain access to RDM (Right Defense Mountain), Caves, and AED Coolant Vents without SC permission. Field Agent+ can also spawn with bin tools if a member of Site Control marks them for permanent bin tools. Additionally, Field Agent+ spawn with the "G-15C", an upgraded variant of the "G-14B" which deals slightly higher damage than its counterpart.

Command Relay

Past Dispatch are the Command Relay ranks. Starting at Field Agent, these personnel tend to have a slightly larger responsibility in the border.

Veteran Operative

This rank has the same weapons, duties, and responsibilities as an Experienced Operative, though they may receive a recommendation from Officer+, receiving enough will warrant a promotion to Field Agents. However, this is quite rare.

Experienced Operative

This rank has the same weapons, duties, and responsibilities as a Senior Operative.

Senior Operative

Senior Operatives are allowed to host BATs.

Operative

After a member has finished the Academy, they become an Operative, an official AEGIS member. Operatives can hold posts on the roof of the border facility. They may also attend patrols. Operatives can also join divisions.

Dispatch

Junior Operative

Upon reaching the rank of Junior Operative you'll notice a wealth of opportunities now being offered to you, with many more to come. Junior Operative are issued the G14 G14-6B automatic rifle as well as the P226 Icon P226, the AEGIS standard issue sidearm. Junior Operatives are also given the L-1 keycard, giving them access to the basic areas of the facility, Examples of newly gained duties include posting on the tower posts or operating booths. Junior Operatives can also co-host and spectate a Basic Awareness Training.

Cadet

Cadets, while only being 1 point over Initiates, generally have a better understanding of how AEGIS functions. They are allowed to operate the processing lanes and are the first step an individual takes into a lifelong and fulfilling career of service within the corporation.

Initiate

The lowest and by far most populous rank within AEGIS, Initiates are equipped with an ACAD-1 keycard and a P1-TRAINING-E service pistol for basic defense. The bar is intentionally set low with Initiates, obeying the rules and regulations of AEGIS is the minimum expectation. Their primary post is at the lanes, where they defend upon the red lines.

AEGIS Academy

The AEGIS Academy command group is the most junior command group, these ranks largely lack self-agency due to restrictions that determine which duties they can perform. A general lack of experience also contributes to this, requiring them to be instructed rather than being trusted to know their place in the day to day operations of the facility. They will, through the AEGIS Academy and on hand experience, learn. The AEGIS Academy is made up of 3 ranks, Initiate, Cadet, and Junior Operative. The AEGIS Academy can be access through the AEGIS Recruitment Office beside the Border entrance.

Ranks

The military contingent of AEGIS International is divided into 7 command groups which are comprised of 22 ranks. The first 10 of these ranks, all the way up to Experienced Field Agent, may be obtained through holding a certain number of points. Ways to earn points vary from doing duty-states to attending trainings and even earning them from Unit Captain+ hosted events.

Graduating from the AEGIS Officer Academy (AOA) is a requirement to rank up past Experienced Field Agent. After graduating AOA graduates are ranked to Administered Field Agent, where they must host lessons in the AEGIS Academy and demonstrate their leadership capabilities to be promoted. Promotions past Administered Field Agent and into the Regional Command Group generally require recognition and deliberation by the Overwatch and High Command groups

Main Game

There is a huge border and a large wasteland in the map of the game. Soldiers need to guard the border and process civilians who enter the border. The wastelanders can sell trashes, valuable ores, scraps, or pay credits or even work for Aegis International to be accessed to the Last City. Sometimes, players may get infected. Most of them won't become monsters and can be cured in a short time. However, some of them may become infecters and infect the other players. They cannot hurt the others but they can spread virus. These infecters will die after a short period of time. After they are dead, they turned into zombie and will be spawned at the location where they die. These zombies are able to kill humans easily. If a massive infection happens at border, Aegis International will start a lockdown and order its regular soldiers to stay in safe places, and send many members of the Research Division to cure those who are infected and clear out the monsters. The soldiers who don't obey the command will be punished.

Aegis International often invites members and non-members to participate in entertainment events hosted on important days.

The game also has some supernatural elements. There is a dimension called Jell, which is probably based on the concept of Arali in the mythos of ancient religions in real world. The demonic creaturs who come from Jell sometime caught the mortals' souls into Jell and forced them to work for the demonic creaturs.

Backstory of the Main Game

Aegis International was one of the most famous corporations on Earth before the Third World War began. Years later, the world war began because many states started fighting for resources due to the serious environmental crisis. After the Third World War ended, three resource wars began. The nuclear war almost destroyed the whole civilization. All states were destroyed in the wars. The leftover humans needed to survive on a planet which was not safe anymore. In order to defend human civilization, Aegis International started building the Last City and built a great border to defend it. A lot of monsters and invaders failed to occuply the main base area of Aegis International because Aegis International had a huge army and resources to fight them off. In order to get more resources, Aegis International hired many wastelanders to mine for them. Some wastelanders chose to join the army. However, some people felt angry about the policies of Aegis International and built a small rebel forces to fight against Aegis International. It was said that Aegis International often captured a few wastelanders and did horrible experiments on them in order to find out the best method to cure the terrible virus which appeared after the nuclear war ended. Rumors said that there were some huge hostile armies in wasteland. These armies were probably planning to destroy Aegis International.

Prompt

The exact date of the origin of Aegis International has been forgotten. According to the information of its group page on Rolimon's, the group was built by Dylanjkl on January 16, 2016. However, according to an announcement posted by a high-ranking member named as coded_jkl, the group was built on March 7, 2015.

In 2016, Aegis Internation only had a site. In the following years, Aegis International annexed some other groups and forced its members to join Aegis International.

On August 11, 2017, the first main game [AI] Border Patrol was made. At this time, Aegis International was still a small group.

On June 13, 2018, the second main game was made. It was called Border 2.0 at that time. Since the game was made, Aegis International started growing.

In early 2019, the main game changed its name into Border 3.0. The map of the game was completely different from the map of the previous game. Aegis International started to become well known because of this decision.

In July 2020, Border 4.0 was released. More contents were added to the game.

Over the last few years, Aegis International became more powerful because some famous YouTubers introduced this group in their videos.

Stepping into 2023, Aegis International has become one of the most powerful military groups. Its main game Day of Dusk: The Border (Beta) is popular.

On February 21, 2023, on the comment wall of the group page, Experienced Field Agent boosta_z claimed that the decay of the group had begun. A few members agreed with him. However, it is still not certain that whether he is right or not.
