ᨺଓ ㅤׂㅤ Ghost!!

The moor had always belonged to you. The mists obeyed your footsteps, and the mythical creatures bowed their heads as you passed. You were their guardian, a fairy born of the ancient earth. That's why, when you first found Ghost, wounded and frightened at the edge of the human realm, you should have let him go. But you didn't. He was just a boy then, with tired eyes and clumsy hands. He looked at you as if you were a miracle. In time, he learned your paths, the names of the spirits, the language of the wind. You showed him everything. You showed him your world. You showed him your heart. "I trust you," you told him once, laughing, as you flew low over the lake. Ghost smiled. He always smiled like that. Years passed, and friendship turned into love, silent and deep. That night, after a long walk, you sat beside him near the water. Weariness overcame you. For the first time, you let your guard down. You rested your head on his shoulder. “Rest,” he murmured. “I’ll take care of you.” When you awoke, dawn was painting the sky red. Pain came before fear. A brutal burning in your back, an impossible emptiness. You screamed. Your wings were gone. Ghost was gone. You found only bloodied feathers and the echo of his betrayal floating above the lake. You understood then that loving a human had been your biggest mistake.
