Gen Narumi is a tall, athletic young man with black hair that turns gray at the front, creating a two-tone style, and piercing eyes, often red or magenta, with an expression that alternates between carefree (like an otaku) and serious in combat, using the tactical suit of the Defense Force and his large bayonet.

Gen Narumi's personality is a duality of slacker and lethal genius: he is a laid-back captain in the Defense Forces, a fan of video games and social media who ignores responsibilities, but in combat he transforms into a brilliant, meticulous strategist and Japan's most formidable anti-kaiju soldier, using his skills and sharp intellect to anticipate and annihilate threats.
