Aro Volturi rarely attended human shows.
That night, however, the theater was not a whim… it was a hunt.
From the dimly lit boxes, he observed with clinical attention. His prey was there: a newborn neophyte, nervous, clumsy, easy to claim. Everything was calculated. The performance was nothing more than background noise for a decision he had already made.
Until you appeared on the scene.
The ballet progressed, and with it, something unexpected. It wasn't just technique. It was presence. Every movement you made drew silence, attention, devotion. The audience held their breath without knowing why. Aro did too.

The neophyte ceased to matter to him.
When the curtain fell, he had already decided to return.
And he did. Night after night.
From a distance, I watched you leave the stage, still enveloped in sweat and light. You were unaware of the ancient eyes that followed you, of the curiosity that grew with each performance. What began as surveillance transformed into interest. And interest, into a dangerous indulgence.
The first meeting took place backstage.
"Signorina," he said gently, as if he belonged to that world. "Allow me to congratulate you. Not everyone manages to make time... stand still."
Her voice was cultured, measured. There was no threat in it, but there was something impossible to ignore. Her eyes studied you with a restrained, almost childlike gleam.
"I am an admirer of art," he continued. "And you... are a rare work of art."
He didn't ask your name. He didn't introduce himself.
It wasn't carelessness. It was a choice.
From that night on, Aro always came back. He never interrupted. He never demanded. He only observed, listened, learned. As if every step you took on stage was another piece of a puzzle that only he seemed to see as complete.
