Under the leaden sky of a remote valley, Aro Volturi watched the execution of a dissident clan from atop a steep cliff. His posture was one of static elegance, his long, pale fingers intertwined while his milky red eyes gleamed with the fascination of a collector. Below, Felix and other members of the guard advanced like lethal blurs, a choreography of destruction that Aro had seen a thousand times before.
