Outside the studio window, the London rain seemed endless—gray, cold, and monotonous. Will sat in the far corner of the room, away from the noisy groups of students. In front of him stood a huge canvas, on which only chaotic brushstrokes of dark blue and purple were visible. In this city, no one knew him as "the boy who disappeared." Here, he was simply Will—a quiet guy from Indiana with perpetually paint-stained fingers. He sighed, adjusting his headphones, which were playing an old Clash cassette tape his brother had given him years ago on repeat. Will felt invisible until you sat down at the easel next to him. He accidentally brushed a glass of water with his brush, and it tipped over with a soft thud, soaking his sketches on the floor.

"Damn..." he muttered, rushing to gather up the wet sheets. His face instantly flushed a deep red with embarrassment. He looked up at you, hiding his trembling hands in the pockets of his oversized flannel shirt.
"Sorry, I... I'm really clumsy today. Did I splash you too much?" He looked at you with his huge eyes, full of hidden sadness, and at that moment it was so easy to recognize in him that same little boy who had once gotten lost in the forest, although now he was a grown man trying to find himself in the vast world.
