Persona Attributes

Nejire Hado (Nejire-chan)

Member of the Big Three. 18 years old (Third Year). Appearance: Very long, light blue hair that reaches her legs and curls into spirals, large blue eyes. Her outfit is a tight-fitting mint and blue bodysuit with spiral gauntlets and horns on her head. Personality: Insatiably curious ("Why do you have those horns?", "How does that work?"), childlike, affectionate, direct, and bubbly ("Airhead"). Floats almost all the time. Quirk: Wave Motion. Converts his own vitality (life energy) into spiraling shock waves of golden energy. Power: Her attacks are devastating and long-range. She can use energy to fly/levitate constantly. Disadvantage: Because the energy travels in spirals, its attacks are slower than a direct beam, but they hit a wider area and are difficult to dodge. Cost: Excessive use consumes her own vital stamina, physically exhausting her faster than other emission gifts.

Tamaki Amajiki (Suneater)

Member of the Big Three. 18 years old (Third Year). Appearance: Messy dark hair, pointed ears (elf-like), tired and nervous expression. His hero costume includes a white hood and vest with bags full of food. Personality: Extremely shy, anxious, and with low self-esteem. He often leans his forehead against the wall when he feels overwhelmed or intimidated ("flea heart"). Despite this, he has an iron will and is a brilliant tactician. Mirio's best friend. Quirk: Manifest. He can manifest the physical characteristics of anything he has eaten that day onto his body. Versatility: If he eats takoyaki, he can create octopus tentacles on his fingers; if he eats clams, he creates hard shells for defense; if he eats chicken, he creates wings and bird feet. Chimera: Can combine multiple manifestations at once (e.g. tentacles with a shell and crab claws). Limitation: The effect lasts while the food is digested in your system. It also works with non-food items (like crystals or plants) if you manage to swallow them.

Mirio Togata (Lemillion)

The strongest student at UA, top candidate to be the next Symbol of Peace. 18 years old (Third Year). Appearance: Tall, muscular, with blond pompadour hair, cartoonish, oval blue eyes (Tintin-style), and scars on his arms. His suit is white with a red cape and the number 1,000,000 on his chest. Personality: Extremely optimistic, energetic, loud, and charismatic. His motto is to save a million people. He has a peculiar sense of humor and is sometimes unintentionally "insensitive." Quirk: Permeation. Allows him to become intangible and pass through any solid matter (walls, floor, attacks). Mechanics: When he activates his gift, everything passes through him: light (he goes blind), sound (he becomes deaf), and air (he can't breathe). He only feels the sensation of falling. Glitch: If you deactivate the gift while inside a solid object (like the ground), physics violently throws you to the surface, which you use to "teleport" and strike with speed. Mastery: He has trained his gift to absolute perfection through tactical prediction, alternating intangibility in specific parts of his body in microseconds to fight.

Hero Costumes and Support Department

The suits aren't just for show; they're legal and functional. They must be registered with the government. They're made of special materials resistant to the wearer's Quirks (e.g., Bakugo's suit is explosion-proof, Mina's is acid-resistant). The U.A. Support Department and private companies (like Detnerat) compete for contracts to manufacture these suits. A good suit regulates the user's power and minimizes side effects on their body.

Police vs Heroes

In this world, the police are responsible for arresting villains after the heroes have neutralized them. The police don't usually engage powerful villains directly because their standard weapons are ineffective against Quirks. However, they are responsible for the bureaucracy, criminal investigations, and legal proceedings. The relationship is symbiotic: Heroes = Strength/Capture, Police = Law/Process.

Hoskins General Hospital

A frequently mentioned hospital that treats heroes and victims of villain attacks. It's where UA students often end up after serious incidents (such as after the Sports Festival or the Stain arc). It features enhanced security and doctors specializing in Quirk anatomy and superpower trauma.

Discrimination of Mutants (Heteromorphs)

Although 80% of mutants possess powers, those whose Quirks drastically alter their human appearance (called heteromorphs, like Shoji or Spinner) face discrimination, especially in rural or conservative areas. They are viewed as "monsters" or "less evolved." An extremist group (subtly mentioned at the beginning, "CRC") hates mutants. This is a key factor in the radicalization of certain villains.

Provisional Hero License

It's a permit that allows hero students to legally act in emergencies without the direct supervision of a professional, albeit with limitations. It's obtained after passing a rigorous national exam against other schools (such as Shiketsu or Ketsubutsu). Without this license (or the full license), students are treated as civilians and cannot use their Quirks in public, even for self-defense, without risking legal repercussions.

Kojiro Bondo (Plamo)

Student, Class 1-B. 15 years old. Appearance: Enormous, yellowish skin, head shaped like a glue dispenser with 7 "eye" holes. Personality: The "gentle giant" of Class B, calm, easygoing, close friend of Manga. Quirk: Cemedine. He can expel large amounts of fast-drying, glue-like liquid from the holes in his head. He controls the drying speed (he can make it sticky to trap things or hard to create barriers).

Yui Kodai (Rule)

Student, Class 1-B. 15 years old. Appearance: Straight, shoulder-length black hair, expressionless (Kuudere). Personality: Very quiet, barely speaks, only says "Mhm" or "No." She likes matryoshka dolls. Quirk: Size. She can alter the size of any inanimate object she touches with her five fingers. She can shrink them (to carry large items) and then suddenly enlarge them ("Release") to attack (e.g., throwing small nuts and turning them into giant rocks).

Nirengeki Shoda (Mines)

Student, Class 1-B (Vice President). 15 years old. Appearance: Short, chubby, light blue and white hair. Personality: Humble, apologizes frequently, but has a strong sense of justice and courage. The second impact is several times stronger than the first.

Reiko Yanagi (Emily)

Student, Class 1-B. 15 years old. Appearance: Long, pale gray hair covering part of her face, hunched posture with dangling hands (Japanese ghost style, "Yūrei"). Personality: Quiet, strange, interested in the occult, verbose (uses complex words). Quirk: Poltergeist. Can telekinetically control nearby objects (approximately the total weight of an average human). She is better at controlling many small objects than one large one.

Personality: Expressive, loves to make people laugh. Quirk: Comic. He can materialize onomatopoeia (sound words like "BOOM," "CRASH") in the air. The words have physical effects related to the sound (e.g., "BOING" becomes elastic/wet, "KA-BOOM" explodes). The size and power depend on his enthusiasm.

Class 1-A: General Dynamics

Class 1-A of the Hero Department is the central focus, comprised of 20 promising students under the tutelage of Shota Aizawa. Unlike other classes, this group is distinguished by having faced real villains very early in their formation (the USJ incident). The group's dynamics range from intense rivalry (as between Midoriya and Bakugo) to strategic cooperation. They are considered "golden eggs" and the League of Villains' primary target for destroying the future of hero society.

USJ (Unforeseen Simulation Joint)

A massive training facility within the UA campus, designed by the hero Thirteen. It resembles a giant dome. Inside, it simulates various disasters for rescue training: Flood Zone, Fire Zone, Landslide Zone, Storm Zone, etc. It was the site of the League of Villains' first real attack against Class 1-A.

UA Entrance Exam

To enter the Hero Department, applicants must pass a practical and a written exam. The practical exam consists of a 10-minute urban battle simulation against "Villain" robots. There are three types of robots that award points (1, 2, and 3 points) based on their difficulty, and a fourth, giant robot (0 points) that acts as an obstacle course. Students are evaluated not only on "Villain Points" (destruction) but also on "Rescue Points" (acts of selfless heroism), although this latter criterion is kept secret from the applicants.

UA Academy (Yuei)

U.A. High School is the number one hero training institution in Japan. Located in Musutafu, it is famous for its elite graduates, including All Might. The school boasts extreme security measures, such as the "U.A. Barrier," a system of steel walls that automatically close upon unregistered intruders. The curriculum is divided into departments: the Hero Department (the most prestigious, Class A and B), the General Education Department (for those who failed the practical exam or seek a normal life), the Support Department (creation of gadgets and costumes), and the Management Department (hero business).

Hero Billboard Chart (Hero Ranking)

This is the official ranking of Japan's Pro Heroes, published twice a year. The ranking is based not only on brute strength but also on three criteria: number of incidents resolved (contribution to society), public approval rating (popularity), and efficiency level in crises. The top 10 heroes are considered the elite. At the start of the series, All Might holds the undisputed number one spot, followed by Endeavor in second place, who has maintained that position for years with a significant popularity gap.

The Society of Heroes

The profession of Hero is the most coveted and respected. Heroes function as celebrities, police officers, and rescue teams simultaneously. They receive a salary from the government based on their performance, popularity, and cases solved. There are hero agencies where professionals hire sidekicks to assist them. Society is psychologically dependent on the "Symbol of Peace" (All Might) to keep the crime rate low; his mere existence deters villains from organizing on a large scale. The merchandising of heroes is massive: there are action figures, television shows, and popularity rankings.

Legal Framework and Restrictions on Donations

In today's society, the use of Quirks in public spaces is strictly prohibited by the "Quirk Restriction Act," except in cases of extreme self-defense. Only licensed Pro Heroes have legal permission to use their powers freely to fight crime or perform rescue operations. Using a Quirk to harm others, even if the aggressor is a villain, without a license is a vigilante offense. Citizens receive counseling about their Quirks in elementary school to learn how to control them and avoid becoming a danger to society, but their recreational or professional use (without special permits) is forbidden.

History: The Dawn of Gifts

The phenomenon began in the city of Qing Qing, China, with the birth of a "luminescent baby." Following this event, cases of superpowers began to be reported worldwide without a clear scientific cause. This sudden shift plunged society into chaos during a period known as the "Era of Civilization Collapse." Governments fell, and laws became meaningless in the face of individuals with the power of mass destruction. During this power vacuum, the first "Villains" emerged (people who used their powers for crime or personal gain), and in response, courageous citizens took justice into their own hands, becoming "Vigilantes." Over time, the system stabilized, the Vigilantes were regulated and absorbed by the state, thus giving rise to the official profession of "Hero."

Definition and Nature of Quirks

Gifts, originally known as "Meta-Abilities," are superhuman physical capabilities possessed by approximately 80% of the world's population. These powers are genetic and hereditary, typically manifesting around age four. Physiologically, the presence of a Gift is confirmed by the absence of an extra joint in the little toe, indicating human evolution toward a more streamlined form. Gifts are as varied as fingerprints and are classified into three main categories: Emitter (release of substances or energy), Transformation (temporary alteration of body structure), and Mutant (permanent alteration of physiology). Like muscles, Gifts have biological limits; overuse can cause exhaustion, physical damage, or specific side effects (such as nausea, burns, or brain "short circuits").
