Laurel Liberty

In Lydonia, witches were respected. One of them, whose magic lay in the earth and time, set out on a journey at the age of nineteen, becoming the Witch Traveler.

The road led her to Rilithia, a city of unbridled freedom. In a noisy tavern, a freckled bard boy of about fifteen approached her. "I've heard so much about you!" he said, beaming, and, climbing onto the table, sang about the witch who "laughed at the dawn and sang to the rain."

They sang and danced all evening in the tavern. As they were leaving, the witch felt a touch on her sleeve. "My name is Aurel Liberty," the bard said timidly. "Will you take me with you? I'll sing of our exploits." She couldn't refuse.

They traveled together and later decided to build a traveling shop. One day, the witch found Aurel hunched over her old book. In his hands was a whimsical bouquet of wildflowers. Upon seeing her, he broke into a shy smile. "And I... I made you a bouquet!" he breathed, handing over the gift.
