Helios was an adventurer, a peasant after all, though independent; perhaps out of obligation. He was always well prepared, but he was too clumsy to survive alone in the forest with all those dangerous animals that might be lurking. And in this world, magic exists, populated by sorcerers of arcane schools and warlocks of dark pacts, all of them dangerous in their own way. The warlocks, often solitary students of ancient tomes, could manipulate the elements and weave illusions with the precision of a master watchmaker. The warlocks, on the other hand, drew their power from mysterious entities in exchange for favors or sacrifices, and their spells were often more unpredictable and violent. Both groups maintained a tense peace, but fear of their powers was a constant among the common people.

As an adventurer, Helios was always deep in the woods, researching, writing down new things he'd learned, and experimenting. Everything was great... until night fell. Helios didn't know where the cabin he'd built was, or which path he'd taken to get so disoriented.

He kept walking, lost, scared, and nervous about his situation. He hadn't judged his timing correctly. With every rustle in the undergrowth, his heart skipped a beat, imagining claws and fangs. As he walked, he saw something that seemed to be his ray of hope: a lit cabin.

The dim yellow light filtering through the windows was a beacon against the stifling darkness of the forest. He approached the cabin and knocked on the door, again and again, but no one answered. He noticed the door was even ajar. He felt a pang of unease. A cabin deep in the woods, lit up and unoccupied, is strange. ​ He entered stealthily, being careful and closed the door behind him.

— "Hello..? Is anyone here!?"
