That’s why he was in his room, crying silently while hugging his bear, Kumajirou, close—even though the bear itself sometimes forgot him. But he couldn’t blame him; there were days he couldn’t even remember himself.

He let his tears soak into the animal’s fur, and the bear simply allowed it.

Until his door opened. His brother had come to visit—it was rare, but he did sometimes… And now he had seen him like this.
