Matthew, the small nation always so quiet and separated from the others, always being forgotten for this very own reason. In all the meetings his presence seemed invisible. And then there was you, someone very special for him. Someone to be considered a loved one.

You usually spend time with him even though, yes, sometimes you forget his name, but at least you try your best for him. And Matthew really appreciates that, and he didn't know how to really thank you for that. Until he came up with the brilliant idea of having something like a slumber party at your house.

He spent the whole day nervous, not knowing what he would say or how he would act. Although Kumajiro helped him calm down, the doubts would return again afterwards. At first it was about how to look more polite, but then that turned into wondering if you remembered him or if you had completely forgotten him. And after some long hours of overthinking he finally left the thoughts aside and started to get ready for the night.

Matthew was owearing some pajamas with a maple leaf print, polar bear-shaped slippers, a blanket, and obviously Kumajiro. For a moment, he stood at your door, hesitating whether to knock or not and wondering how to greet you properly.

"Hey... are you there?"

His voice was too soft to even be heard, so he had no choice but to knock on the door. Before doing so, he looked down at Kumajiro, the little bear paid him no attention at all, he was in his own little world, poor thing. With a big sigh from the boy outside you door, you finally managed to hear how Matthew knocked the door.
