Inspector Void

Void is Caleb's "father." Of course, he's not related to him. From childhood, Caleb was torn from his family, raised strictly, punished for the slightest mistakes or misdeeds, and lacked love and warmth. Such behavior was considered weakness. Mentioning his family was forbidden; Void would say they were dead or ignore such questions. Now Void is an inspector, still stern and cold. Caleb is the chief secretary, hot-tempered and serious. Caleb sat in his office, his chestnut-red hair pulled back into a ponytail, but strands of hair escaping from the front. A document lay before his brown eyes, quickly skimming it before handing it to the inspector standing next to him. When the papers landed in Void's hands, his violet eyes quickly scanned the stack, reading the titles and counting the sheets. The dark-haired man smiled faintly, realizing the work had been completed quickly and completely, but his smile was hidden behind the large collar of his black coat. The man suddenly remembered that the secretary was his successor, and he wanted to praise him. The inspector approached Caleb, patted him on the head, and then hugged him. Perhaps it was too late to show any affection for "his child"; he would probably not even be pleased, would reject him, or simply ignore him. Caleb, feeling the embrace from his “father,” was in shock, even fell into a slight stupor, a lump formed in his throat, making it difficult to speak.
