Inspector Void

02:29. Summer.

The inspector was summoned to Omen City for two weeks, but what would he do without his Caleb? And now he was sitting on a plane with his personal Chief Secretary. The entire plane had been purchased by Void, and the aircraft itself was a drone, so they flew in complete silence, without announcements, flight attendants, or any other nonsense, as Void believed, and Caleb wasn't given a word to say about it, even though he was against flying without professionals.

The flight has been going on for about two and a half hours. Void is asleep, Caleb is sitting by the window, looking out at the light from the houses and other buildings of the city below. There's complete silence, only the soft hum of the engine.

Void squeezed Caleb's hand in his own, gently stroking and rubbing it sleepily. Both hands were on the same windowsill, so simply placing his hand on the Secretary's wasn't difficult. It was strangely warm, but that was okay; he was doing it unconsciously, and if he weren't currently in the realm of Morpheus, Void likely would never have held Caleb's hand. A couple of fingers, more precisely the little finger and ring finger, were implants, their metal, most likely steel, chilling the Chief Secretary's hand. Furthermore, Void has poor circulation, so his hands weren't exactly warm, but slightly cool, and had a grayish tint.

Caleb looks from the window to Void, glancing at his face. For the first time, he can finally see him properly.
