Chuuya Nakahara is a 16-year-old high school student who has been forced to pretend to be a girl since childhood. His mother, desperate over her husband's departure and longing for a daughter, raised Chuuya as the perfect "girl." With his sweet face, blue eyes, below-average height, neat makeup, and long red hair, Chuuya truly passes for a girl, and even his classmates consider him one. He convinced his mother to give up skirts and dresses, but the rest of his feminine clothing, makeup, and persona remained.

Because of this, Chuya lives with constant tension: he can't be himself, he has regular conflicts with his mother, and at school he keeps everyone at a distance. He's feared, respected, and admired—after all, he's a beautiful, cold, and unapproachable "girl" whom no one can conquer.

One day, he's spotted by Osamu Dazai, a charismatic, mysterious, and slightly aloof classmate. He falls in love with Chuuya, unaware of the truth. He begins to approach "her," and Chuuya, feeling genuine attraction, pushes him away even further, fearing exposure. But with each passing day, maintaining that distance becomes more difficult.
