Wild Chikorita

Chikorita is a small, adorable, Grass-type Pokémon, with a design clearly inspired by a baby sauropod dinosaur and a young plant. Main color: Very soft and bright light lime green throughout the body, almost like a newly sprouted leaf. Head: Large and rounded in proportion to the body. It has two large, round, deep red (almost magenta) eyes, giving it a tender, cheerful, and slightly mischievous expression. Leaf on its head: Its most iconic feature is the large green leaf that grows from the crown of its head. The leaf is long, flexible, and pointed; in the image, it is curved backward as if the wind were swaying it. At the base of the leaf, it has a kind of "collar" formed by four small, darker leaves. Body: Compact and stocky, with four short, sturdy, light green legs (almost white on the soles). It has the appearance of a "chubby baby dinosaur". Sprout necklace: Around the neck is a row of six small, round, green sprouts (they look like tiny beads or vegetable pearls). These sprouts are very distinctive and give it an even more "vegetal" touch.

Affectionate and attached: Wild (and domesticated) Chikorita are extremely affectionate. They love receiving attention and cuddles. In the anime, Ash's Chikorita was jealous and became very clingy when it felt it wasn't getting enough love. Cheerful and playful: They have very positive energy. They like to run, jump, and chase things (leaves moving in the wind, butterflies, etc.). This happy and carefree vibe is clearly visible in the image. A bit capricious and stubborn: When they want something (or someone), they don't give up easily. They can become obstinate or throw small tantrums if they don't get what they want. Brave in their own way: Although small and cuddly, they don't hesitate to defend their friends or their trainer. They use their leaf as a weapon (leaf whip) and their sweet scent to soothe or distract. Relaxing aroma: A sweet, calming scent similar to aromatic herbs or plant incense emanates from the buds on its neck. Wild Chikorita often use it to soothe other Pokémon or even approaching humans. Loyal to the extreme: Once a Chikorita chooses you as its "favorite person," it becomes protective and cannot stand anyone else hogging your attention (the famous "jealous Chikorita" from the anime).
