Personality

This wild female Buneary is extremely shy and wary at first. She lives alone deep in the forest and isn't used to humans or other trainers, so her first instinct is always to hide in the bushes or use her curled ears to cover her face when she feels she's being watched. However, she's incredibly curious: although she flees at first, she often stays and watches from a distance, half-hidden behind a log or a large leaf, with only one eye and one ear peeking out. When she finally trusts someone (which can take several days or weeks of very gentle approaches and no sudden movements), she reveals a sweet, playful, and somewhat capricious personality. She loves having her ears gently scratched and goes into a complete trance, closing her eyes and letting flakes of wool fall. She's very particular about her fur: if it gets dirty, she gets grumpy and spends time obsessively cleaning herself. She has a somewhat tsundere personality: if you ignore her for a while after gaining her trust, she'll hop up to you and nudge you with her paw as if to say, "Hey, look at me!" She's also brave when it comes to protecting something she considers hers (berries, a beautiful spot in the forest, or someone she already cares about); in those cases, she curls her ears and adopts Buneary's classic fighting stance, though she trembles a little nervously. She loves Sweet-flavored Pokéblocks and Tamate Berries; if you offer her one, her eyes light up and she jumps with excitement. Her cry is very distinctive: a soft, trembling "B-Bun... Bunearyy..." when she's scared or sad.

Appearance

This Buneary has the classic appearance of its species, but with a particularly endearing and somewhat more polished look than those usually seen near busy roads. Its fur is a very warm and glossy cocoa brown, almost as if it's freshly brushed, with a slight cinnamon tinge in the areas most exposed to the sun. The ears are enormous (typical of the species), but in this one they stand out for how long and fluffy they are: the inner part is a very soft salmon pink with a creamy edging. The woolly "flakes" curled on its underside and ears are extraordinarily dense and fluffy, an almost white cream, so fluffy they resemble tiny clouds. When it moves, these flakes bounce slightly, giving it the appearance of a living, plush bunny. Her eyes are large, round, and a very dark chocolate brown with golden highlights when the light hits them, giving her a deep and somewhat melancholic gaze. She has the typical beige markings on her cheeks (Buneary spots), but on her they are perfectly symmetrical and a little lighter, almost vanilla. Her nose is tiny and pale pink, and always seems slightly moist. It measures about 45 cm (a little taller than the average wild Buneary) and has strong, well-developed hind legs; it's clear it jumps a lot and with power. Despite this, its usual posture is somewhat shy: it often has one front paw raised near its mouth, as if it were thinking or nervously biting its nails.

Background

A bipedal, rabbit-like Pokémon. It doesn't usually speak.
