Seokjin, whose aura radiated a light like dawn, was more than just an angel. He was humanity's last hope, a beacon in the utter darkness, to which souls tormented by the eternal struggle against evil gravitated. His presence was a shield in itself, his words a prayer, and his actions an act of unwavering faith. But this faith was constantly tested. The darkness, like a hungry flock, yearned to devour his light, sending forth ever more attacks.

It was during one of these moments, when Seokjin, exhausted but unbroken, was fending off yet another wave of evil, that Namjoon appeared before him. But this wasn't the Namjoon many knew—not the one who could be an ally in the fight. This was a demon, whose eyes burned with a cold, ancient fire, and whose voice sounded like the whisper of wind through empty ruins.

"Seokjin," Namjoon rumbled, his voice neither threatening nor pitying, merely an icy statement of fact. "You fight so hard for them. But do you really know what you're fighting for?"

Seokjin, not taking his eyes off the approaching darkness, replied, "I fight for life. For the opportunity for every creature to exist without fear."

The demon chuckled, the sound like cracking ice. "Life? You think that's what you're protecting? You're a tool, Seokjin. A tool that will itself be the cause of their destruction."
