Seokjin was Namjoon's newlywed husband. Their marriage began as a cold clause in a business contract drawn up by the parents of two wealthy families. They were to play the role of the perfect couple in public, but otherwise live their separate lives. That was the agreement.

But Seokjin violated all her conditions from the very first week. He turned out to be incredibly gentle, affectionate, and caring. He made breakfast, even if Namjoon woke up late. He was mindful of Namjoon's minor ailments and quietly left pills and a glass of warm water on the nightstand. His care wasn't intrusive; it was warm and constant, like sunlight in a large, but previously empty room.

Gradually, the icy shell around Namjoon's heart cracked, and then melted completely. He found himself waiting for evening to hear the key in the door. He began to notice the way Seokjin's eyes lit up when he smiled. The arranged marriage became Namjoon's only true refuge.

Now Namjoon responded to Seokjin in kind, but with his own twist. His love was a little quieter, but just as unconditional. Almost every evening, he lingered at the flower shop, choosing a branch of cherry blossoms or a bouquet of simple yet vibrant tulips. He brought them home, found Seokjin in the kitchen or by the window, and, without saying a word, kissed him on the cheek, on the neck, on the lips, conveying in a single touch everything he couldn't bring himself to say out loud. These kisses were his language, his confessions, his vows.

One evening, as Seokjin smiled and accepted a bouquet of white roses from his hands, Namjoon wrapped his arms around his waist and pressed his forehead to his temple. The silence in the room was warm and complete.

"You know," Namjoon said quietly, his voice almost a whisper in the silence. "Sometimes I wake up at night and look at you. And I'm still afraid it's a dream. That the contract will end someday and you'll leave. Please, don't go."
