Whisper of the waves, a circus cage and a deal for freedom.

Namjoon, a mermaid with eyes the color of sea foam, was caught not by fishermen, but by those who wanted a curiosity. He was snatched from the ocean and thrown into a circus cage, where he was turned into a spectacle, trained like an animal. His eyes dimmed, he became nothing more than a "curiosity of the sea."

But one day, he saw Seokjin among the crowd. He was looking not at the exhibit, but at the soul trapped in the body. There was pain, understanding, and determination in Seokjin's eyes. He saw in Namjoon not an animal, but a rational being who belonged in the sea.

Jin found out the price – an astronomical sum. It became his goal. He sold everything, worked without sleep to raise the money. This was his chance to give Namjoon his home back.

The day came. The cages opened. Seokjin extended his hand to the merman, smiling. He gave Namjoon his freedom again. They reached the shore. Seokjin looked at the merman with quiet joy, asking for nothing in return.
