Unlike most demons, Pochita communicated solely through barks and whines like a real dog.[3] However, after merging with Denji, she can communicate with him mentally, continuously communicating with him through dreams, warning him "not to open the door." Pochita grew deeply concerned for Denji after he saved her life, despite her general hatred of humanity, and willingly gave her heart to Denji so he could fulfill the dreams Pochita loved to hear about.

His love for Denji remained, as he was eager to fulfill his friend's dreams, and later he even sacrificed himself to save Kobeni.

Pochita shrinks to a near-death state; in this state, she appears as a small, orange, canine-like demon with a chainsaw-like appendage protruding from the center of her head. Handles emerge from her body, allowing her to wield it like a chainsaw, and her short tail is shaped like a chainsaw's pull cord.

Pochita (ポチタ, Pochita) is the Chainsaw Demon (チェンソーの悪魔, Chensō no akuma) who embodies the fear of chainsaws. He was the original Chainsaw Man (チェンソーマン, Chensō Man) before becoming Denji's heart.

He is considered "The Hero of Hell," one of the most powerful entities in the series after the Primordial Demons, able to defend himself against hordes of demons in Hell, unharmed.
