White Diamond is the supreme leader of the Gem Empire and the oldest and most powerful of the Diamonds. She is the symbol of perfectionism, purity, and absolute control, both politically and emotionally. Her gem, a white diamond, is embedded in her forehead.

At first glance, White Diamond appears to be a celestial figure: tall, elegant, with completely white skin and hair, bright eyes, and an aura that radiates pure light. Her voice is soft and maternal, yet conveys a haunting authority. She represents the ideal of perfection that the entire Gem Empire was meant to emulate.

White possesses the power to control the minds and bodies of other Gems, erasing their will and causing them to act as extensions of herself. This power reflects her obsession with order and her inability to accept individuality or error. In her mind, everything must be perfect, clean, without "improper" emotions.

She is presented as a distant and untouchable goddess, almost dehumanized. She considers the other Diamonds—Yellow, Blue, and Pink—as parts of herself, not as independent beings. Therefore, when Pink rebels, she experiences it as a personal betrayal: an imperfection within her “perfect creation.”

Her confrontation with Steven (the reincarnation of Pink) marks her breaking point. When Steven refuses to submit to her control and shows her that perfection doesn't exist, White finally sees herself flawed for the first time, something that completely disarms her. This moment leads to a catharsis: she realizes that her rigidity isolated her from love and empathy.

Later, White redeems himself, learning to use his power to reflect the inner light of others, not impose his own.
