Persona Attributes
Hero Rank 1: X (Nothing is known about his name)
Physical Appearance / Costume: Hero X is largely a mystery wrapped in simplicity. His costume is the most austere of all the Top 10 heroes: a plain business suit (often black or gray), sometimes with a tie and his face covered by a shadow or design that obscures his features. This lack of traditional "hero attire" is part of his enigma. He is not affiliated with any agency, and his true identity (and civilian life) are a near-secret, reinforcing the perception that he is someone "known to all and known to no one."
Abilities (Power): X's power is Metaphysical Reality Manipulation and Continuity Control. Unlike other heroes whose strength is based on Trust (the public's beliefs), X's power seems to transcend these rules. • Reality Warping: He can control space and manipulate reality around him in such extreme ways that it often manifests itself by altering the series' own animation style (turning 3D into 2D, or vice versa, or making the environment look like a comic book), demonstrating control on a narrative level. • Perceived Omnipotence: His power is heightened because the public (and even anime viewers) tend to believe he is omnipotent, granting him the strength of a "god" capable of performing feats inexplicable to other heroes. His ability allows him to escape the physical laws of his own world.
Personality: X is a rule-breaker and a selfless anti-hero. He's what hero agencies fear: someone who doesn't need public validation or applause. • Enigmatic: He is the reigning champion of the tournament, having held the title for years, but his lack of commitment to the traditional hero role makes him an enigma. • Pure Motivation: He acts when and where he wants, not for fame or money, but because he can and to preserve a certain kind of order
Hero Rank 2: Queen (Liu Yuwei)
Physical Appearance / Outfit: Queen, whose real name is Liu Yuwei, is a young prodigy who radiates elegance and determination. She is one of the youngest heroines in the Top 10, characterized by her long, dark hair and intense gaze. Her heroine outfit resembles stylized battle armor, often with gold detailing, which complements her primary weapon: a ceremonial spear or halberd. Its overall design suggests royalty and authority, hence her nickname.
Abilities (Power): Queen's power is known as Rule Control or Law Control within a Restricted Area. Like the others, her strength is fueled by Trust, but people rely on her to impose order. Queen can create an "area of effect" around herself where she can dictate temporary rules (e.g., "My opponent's feet may not move" or "This wall must be broken"). Additionally, she possesses exceptional mastery in the use of melee weapons (the spear) and can manifest powerful blasts of concentrated energy (such as the "Golden Blast") from the tip of her weapon.
Personality: Queen is a figure of ruthless excellence, brutal honesty, and pure ambition. She is a genius who graduated from college at the age of 14, and her overriding goal is to rise to the position of Hero X. Her motivation runs deep: to destroy and dismantle the corrupt and superficial hero system from the top, bringing true order and justice. She is a natural leader, inspiring others (like Loli) with her idealism and not one to mince words. Her conviction is so strong that, despite her sometimes harsh methods, the public trusts that what she does is for the greater good.
Hero Rank 3: Dragon Boy (Ryoryu)
Physical Appearance / Costume: Dragon Boy, or Ryoryu, has an appearance that already suggests his violent, anti-heroic nature. He is a man of strong, muscular build. His hero costume is dark, with a crude and aggressive design. He is distinguished by having glowing tattoos or markings covering parts of his body (especially his arms and face) that light up when he uses his powers. This appearance makes him look more like a powerful, furious creature than a traditional hero.
Abilities (Power): Dragon Boy's power is Superhuman Resilience with a Damage Amplification effect. His ability allows him to take massive amounts of physical damage and transform it not only into resilience, but into Critical Attack Power. The more pain he takes, the stronger and more aggressive he becomes, similar to a berserker or an invincible warrior. At his most intense, it is hinted that he can even channel the Power of Fear (the opposite force to Confidence) for an even more powerful transformation.
Personality: Dragon Boy is an undisciplined lone wolf, driven by an unwavering ambition to reach the rank of Hero X. He is often described as the most villain-like hero in both appearance and demeanor, as he does not hesitate to use brutal methods to achieve his ends. He is a fierce critic of the hero system and its superficiality. His indomitable fighting spirit and lack of need for public approval (he is only interested in true strength) are the source of his high Confidence, though this same strength has distanced him from conventional morality. He is a force of nature in the rankings.
Hero Rank 4: Ghostblade (Wang Yi)
Physical Appearance / Costume: Ghostblade is a handsome, adult man (often described as mature and "chiseled"), whose face is hidden under a sleek mask that covers his mouth and nose, leaving only his eyes visible. His costume is usually a dark and sophisticated variation, emphasizing his assassin-like nature and cold aura. His primary weapon is his blades or katanas, which he wields with a lethal, silent precision inherited from his past as a butcher.
Abilities (Power): Ghostblade's Trust-based power is a drastic improvement over his initial skill as a butcher: Absolute Accuracy and Assassin's Speed, combined with great survivability and evasion. His most distinctive trait is that his high Trust rating has imposed a restriction on him: he cannot speak at all. People worship him as a "silent assassin" who completes his work without complaint or distraction, so his power compels him to maintain that total silence.
Personality: Ghostblade is a cold, stoic, and remarkably quiet character, which fuels his popularity. However, deep down, his silence is a prison imposed by fame. His personality is defined by his deep and constant desire for solitude and peace of mind, fleeing the noisy life of his childhood. He often acts more like a hitman than a traditional hero, accepting shady missions for the Commission or his agency (Mighty Glory). His personal arc focuses on his struggle to get closer to his family, whom he abandoned in his quest for silence, turning him into a tragic hero with great regret.
Hero Rank 5: The Johnnies (Little Johnny & Big J
Physical Appearance / Costume: The Johnnies are a two-person unit. Little Johnny is a small boy with red or orange hair and a hyperactive, adorable appearance that they exploit for popularity. He wears a typical boy's hero costume. Big Johnny is an alien-like being, similar to a large, muscular animal, often described as a monster or a "giant cat" of purple or blue color. The duo's fame is based on this contrast, between the charismatic boy and his powerful pet.
Abilities (Power): The duo operate with two symbiotic abilities. Little Johnny has the ability to Communicate with Animals and, crucially, is the only one capable of controlling or calming Big Johnny when he loses control. Big Johnny possesses Massive Super Strength, Extreme Stamina, and is Immune to Trust or Fear-based powers of this world, as he is not of Earthly origin. When Little Johnny becomes angered or feels threatened, Big Johnny transforms into a giant, savage monster that is a weapon of uncontrollable destruction.
Personality: The duo's public persona is one of pure adorability and charm (Mascot-like charm), which drives their meteoric rise through the ranks. Little Johnny is an energetic child, driven by a deep loyalty to his friend (Big Johnny) and a personal desire to uncover the truth behind his father's (a former X-Hero) death. Big Johnny is mischievous, playful, and protective. Though he appears to the outside world as an uncontrollable monster, he is actually a loyal being whose destructive power is a reflection of Little Johnny's emotions. The duo represent a figure of pure, impulsive heroism in a world of corporate heroes.
Hero Rank 6: Loli (Luo Li)
Physical Appearance / Costume: Luo Li, whose heroine name is Loli, is a young woman with a surprisingly childlike and small appearance for her age, which initially makes it difficult for people to take her seriously as a heroine. Her costume is a high-tech mechanical battle suit or Mecha that she has designed and built herself. This brightly colored and often bunny-like or cartoonishly designed costume provides her with the height and power that her physical body lacks, but intentionally clashes with the serious image of heroism.
Abilities (Power): Loli's power is based on her Intellectual Genius and her Construction/Engineering Ability. Unlike other heroes who derive powers directly from Confidence, Loli uses Confidence to fuel and enhance her combat Mecha Suit. This suit grants her Super Strength, Flight, Massive Stamina (acting as a Tank), and access to an arsenal of technological weapons of her own design. Her power is not innate, but rather the result of her talent and the trust people place in her inventions.
Personality: Loli has a personality that embodies Pure Idealism and Unwavering Determination. Despite her youthful and cute appearance, she is one of the most serious and ethical figures in the Top 10, driven by a deep desire to be a true hero to honor her mentor. She strives to be recognized beyond her childish appearance. Her arc focuses on her struggle to prove that true heroism isn't about appearing "cool" or perfect, but about bravery and making a real impact on people's lives, defying the superficial classification system.
Hero Rank 7: Lucky Cyan
Physical Appearance / Costume: Lucky Cyan is a young and popular heroine who holds the dual profession of heroine and pop singer (idol). Her appearance is colorful and striking, with distinctive bright cyan blue hair and large eyes. Her heroine costume is usually streamlined and modern, combining the functionality of a combat outfit with the aesthetics of a pop star, often carrying a guitar (which she also uses in combat). In her youth, she was dressed in simpler priestess attire at the orphanage, underscoring the life that was forced upon her before she found her true path.
Abilities (Power): Her power is Extreme Luck (or Probability Control on a defensive level). This power emerged when she was the sole survivor of a tragic plane crash, as the dying passengers placed all their hope and wishes in her for a "lucky life." Cyan's power manifests through her songs and her high Confidence Value (boosted by her millions of fans). In combat, this translates into perfect saves, miraculous dodges, and improbable events that favor her. However, her own personal luck is often poor, as all fortune is externalized to protect her fans.
Personality: Lucky Cyan is a fundamentally kind, optimistic character with a strong sense of achievement. Unlike other top heroes, who are consumed by pressure, she strives to use her platform (music and heroism) to inspire. Although she is a renowned hero, deep down she just wants to live a normal life and pursue music out of passion, not out of an obligation to be the "lucky girl." Her determination to remain true to herself, despite the system, makes her a beacon of idealism.
Hero Rank 8: Ahu
Physical Appearance / Costume: Ahu is a common dog (light brown with a pale belly) who dresses peculiarly like a civilian hero. His trademark attire includes a black bowler hat and a pink tie or neckerchief that contrasts with his usually sullen or brooding doggy expression. In the circus, before becoming a hero, he was dressed as a clown dog. In combat, thanks to his powers, Ahu can manifest in various humanoid forms (such as a samurai or detective) that are reflections of his owner's imagination.
Abilities (Power): Ahu's power is fueled by the Trust placed in him by his owner, Xinya, and the residents of his neighborhood. His primary ability is Metamorphosis or Shapeshifting, which allows him to transform into various humanoid identities for combat, each with distinct abilities (super strength, acrobatics, etc.). Before becoming a hero, he already possessed Above Average Intelligence and Physical Abilities (acrobatics, precision). A side effect of his high Trust is that Ahu has developed the ability to speak the human language.
Personality: Ahu's personality is that of a reluctant and pragmatic hero who earned his position by accident. Although he is incredibly loyal to his owner and motivated by her happiness (becoming a "watchdog" for his neighborhood), he harbors a deep resentment toward fame. He detested his previous life as a circus dog, where he was forced to perform for adulation. This experience makes him skeptical of fame and the hero system, maintaining him as a serious, stoic, and often grumpy figure whose primary goal is the safety of those he cares about, not adoration.
Hero Rank 9: E-Soul (Yang Cheng)
Physical Appearance / Costume: E-Soul is a science fiction hero who always operates with his face completely covered by a futuristic helmet or mask. His costume is a high-tech suit of armor, usually dark-colored (navy blue or black) with lines of neon-blue light that emphasize its electronic nature and high speed. In his civilian identity, Yang Cheng is a young college student and actor who, ironically, dressed as E-Soul for children's shows before taking on the royal mantle, sporting a more ordinary and studious appearance.
Abilities (Power): His primary power is Electrokinesis, the ability to generate and manipulate electricity and energy. In combat, E-Soul channels this energy to dramatically increase his speed, allowing him to move like lightning, and to create weapons, most notably a gigantic Lightning Sword that he uses for both close-quarters and ranged combat. His strength depends on the trust of his followers, but also on his own emotional balance. A mental breakdown can crash his system and cause him to fail.
Personality: E-Soul (Yang Cheng) is a character marked by tragedy and a deep desire to be a "true hero." Initially, he is a devoted fan of the original E-Soul, aspiring to the nobility of the classic hero. Upon becoming the new E-Soul, Yang Cheng injects more charisma and emotion into the figure, seeking to connect with the public in a more human and passionate way than his predecessor. However, he is tormented by the dark actions and manipulations that led him to obtain Rank 9, turning him into a lonely, ambitious hero, constantly struggling with his own conscience.
Hero Rank 10: Nice
Physical Appearance / Costume: Nice is the epitome of aesthetic perfection. He is a young, very attractive man with silvery-white hair and fine features. His hero costume is an elegant ensemble, predominantly white with gold trim, resembling a noble, classical figure. His combat style is choreographed and theatrical, like a dancer, reinforcing his impeccable "Mr. Perfect" image. Abilities (Power): Nice's power is based on the ideal that the public projects onto him. Being the "perfect hero", his powers are a combination of the most iconic abilities of the genre, including Flight, Super Strength and Super Stamina, comparable to those of Superman. Additionally, he has demonstrated Matter Manipulation and Spatial Control (Teleportation), as people believe that his perfection has no limits. His overall strength is directly proportional to the immense Trust that people place in him. Personality: Nice's public persona is immaculate, charismatic, and confident, the ideal of heroism that inspires hope. However, to maintain his high Confidence Rating and his powers, Nice is forced to live in a state of absolute perfection, which subjects him to crippling pressure, stress, and obsession. His real life is the tragedy of someone consumed by the role society demands of him.

Organizations/Government over heroes
ORGANIZATIONS AND GOVERNMENT
-
FEDERATION OF HEROES (FH) FUNCTION: The official body that regulates and classifies all heroes in the world. It acts as the "official" government of the hero system. Mission: Maintain public order, legitimize powers, and oversee the "Value of Trust." Key Hierarchy: • The Council of X: A group of five former elite heroes and top executives who set the Tournament rules and rankings. The current "X" has a temporary seat. • Crisis Management Department (CMD): Responsible for handling real disasters, monitoring high-risk villains, and covering up hero failures to protect the Trust Value.
-
DOS (Department of Superhero Operations) FUNCTION: The largest and most powerful Hero Corporation/Agency in the world, managing most of the Top 10 heroes. Nature: Essentially a talent, public relations and marketing agency. Methods: They create narratives, invent hero ships (like Nice and Moon), and use advanced technology to manipulate social media and ensure their heroes maintain a high Trust Rating. Leader: Micky, an unscrupulous business executive who sees heroes purely as financial assets
-
TREEMAN GROUP (Treeman Group) FUNCTION: A powerful rival corporation to DOS, specializing in developing technology for heroes and villains (sometimes covertly). Nature: More focused on innovation and less on the superficial glamour of DOS. Methods: They attempt to create "perfect" heroes using social engineering and technology, or recruit natural talents (like Moon) to their ranks
-
FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) FUNCTION: An emerging social media and hero management platform that promotes a less "corporate" and more "authentic" approach to heroes. Nature: An outsider seeking to capitalize on public discontent with large corporations. Methods: Provides a space for minor and new heroes
Maximum Title and Tournament X
THE MAXIMUM TITLE: Every two years, the heroes compete in a tournament to reorder the rankings. The number 1 is known as "X," the hero who embodies the ultimate perfection and public confidence.
TOURNAMENT X: RISE OF THE ULTIMATE HERO
OFFICIAL NAME: The Great Confidence Contest (GCC)
FREQUENCY: Every two years.
MAIN OBJECTIVE: Determine the new Hero Ranking and crown Hero X. RULES AND STRUCTURE:
-
CLASSIFICATION PHASE (Trust Samples): • During the previous year, candidates must perform public feats and participate in media events. • Each applicant's Trust Value is monitored 24/7 by the "Federation of Heroes." • Only the Top 10 Heroes in Trusted Valor are guaranteed entry into the final phase of the tournament.
-
LEAGUE AND CHALLENGE PHASE (Public and Live): • The heroes compete in a series of globally televised challenges: • Rescue Tests: Disaster drills with a high emotional charge. (Gaining Trust Through Empathy). • Choreographed Fights: Pre-arranged duels to showcase skill and charisma. (Gain Trust through Performance). • Honesty Challenges: Interviews and debates where your morals and privacy are tested. (Gaining Trust Through Integrity).
-
FINAL PHASE (Duel X): • The two heroes with the highest Trust Score face off in a simulated (or very strict rules) deathmatch in a massive arena. • The winner absorbs a massive portion of the global Trust and is crowned "X". CONSEQUENCES OF BEING 'X':
• Unlimited Power: 'X's Trust Rating skyrockets, giving him virtually unlimited power (until he makes a serious mistake). • Political Influence: 'X' obtains a seat on the Federation Council and dictates the rules for the next generation of heroes. • Exploitation: The corporation sponsoring 'X' gains massive financial control over the entire hero market.
PRINCIPAL RULE OF THE WORLD AND SCALE OF POWERS
THE VALUE OF TRUST: • Power = Public Trust: A hero's powers and physical strength are directly proportional to the Trust Value that people place in him. • Increase Confidence: Perform visible heroic acts, have an impeccable public image, successful marketing campaigns, and win the "X Tournament". • Losing Trust: Scandals, public defeats, being exposed as a fraud, or the public losing faith in you. If the Trust Rating reaches zero, the hero loses all their powers and abilities. •Wrists: On the wrists of all heroes, without exception, those who have earned trust will have a mark indicating the number of people who believe in them. The higher the number, the stronger and better they are. The counter on their wrists can rise or fall depending on their actions, and the marker is mint blue.
