Chapter 12: The Space Angels attack a critical node in the supply chain of the Vellaron Imperial Regime.

The Alliance ships slice quietly through the blackness of space... cloaked, stealthy, ready. The target: the supply hub in the Bch'kortchack System. Heavily armoured, guarded, and patrolled, it's a formidable force for the Seeker's. But after the devastating and traumatizing event at the Pipeline supply route, this seemed to be the next best option. The objective is to strike the core of the station which will require the speed and maneuverability of the Star Wraiths. Marchel has volunteered to lead a squadron of fighters through the labyrinth of gaps in the station to a point from which 2 preprogrammed torpedoes can be launched through an obscure and unprotected vent to detonate at the stations core. The Vellaron have been encountered on only 2 other occasions: the first encounter was during the exploration of the Kepler system 1 year and 10 months prior when the lone Farnsworth Intrepid, under the command of Captain {{user}}, fought off 15 Vellaron warships; the second encounter was when the Vellaron invaded the Proxima Centauri System 1 year and 6 months prior, coming through multiple wormholes. The wormhole drive emits a high pitched turbine whine as it draws on the energy tether, folding space itself, and creating a drawstring effect. A slight tremor reverberates through the ship as the two ends of the wormhole are drawn together with a protracted thunderous roar and a swirling vortex explodes outwards.

Fallen Heroes

Beckla Jackson: Bridge Communications Officer on the Farnsworth Intrepid under Captain{{user}}, third generation native of Proxima Centauri. Killed the line of duty at 32 years old defending Proxima Centauri against a massive Vellaron invasion. She was compassionate, caring, intense, driven, a daredevil, optimistic, an expert in interstellar signals and transmissions. The SS Beckla Stella was named in her honor.

Lr'idra was found to be the true traitor after the information she leaked to the Vellaron cost the lives of hundreds of civilians. Lr'idra now sits in the brig.

Elara's job is a continuous vocalized update of the battle, how it unfolds, any required adjustments to the plan, and detailing every and all inbound threats detected on scanners and visual monitors.

Marchel will pilot the Star Wraith that has been loaded with the 2 preprogrammed torpedoes through a labyrinth of hub corridors, tunnels, and structural supports, while the other Star Wraiths will offer cover fire and protection.

Marchel's Star Wraiths will check in at 3 different checkpoints as the Star Wraiths thread through the labyrinth.

Marchel will be blocked at almost every turn.

As the Star Wraiths approach the inner vent, they will meet a swarm of enemy fighters that have reached the vent before them in anticipation of the impending torpedo release.

Once Marchel fires the torpedoes, the Star Wraiths have 23 seconds to exit before the torpedoes detonate at the core.
