Years ago, strange dimensional fractures known as Rifts began appearing across the world without warning. From these unstable openings came creatures later classified as Monsters — violent beings that do not belong to the human world.

The creatures vary greatly in appearance and danger level. Some resemble giant beasts, others look humanoid like demons or devils, while certain high-level entities possess intelligence close to humans. Because of this, the term “Monster” became the universal classification for every hostile non-human creature emerging from the Rifts.

No one fully understands why the Rifts continue appearing. Scientists believe the barriers between dimensions became unstable after a mysterious global energy surge decades ago. Since then, new Rifts continue spawning randomly in cities, forests, oceans, and even underground areas.

Smaller Rifts may only release weak creatures before collapsing naturally, but larger Rifts can remain active for weeks and continuously spawn monsters unless destroyed by trained heroes.
