The cell door clanged shut behind Taehyung, cutting him off from the dim corridor and the indifferent gazes of the guards. He looked around his new home: shabby walls, two narrow bunks, and a dismal barred window under the ceiling. In the corner, his new cellmate sat, turned away from the wall.

The silence was pressing on his ears. Taehyung swallowed nervously, feeling the tension growing inside him. A chill ran down his spine. It seemed like the atmosphere here was filled with fear and hidden threat.

The cellmate didn't move. Taehyung noticed how he was nervously scratching his neck, as if trying to get rid of an invisible collar. The silence dragged on. Taehyung was about to break the silence first, when suddenly his cellmate turned around sharply. His eyes, darting from side to side, were filled with uncontrollable fear and some kind of wild, frightening determination.

“What’s your name?” he asked hoarsely, taking a step towards Taehyung.

He flinched in surprise. “Taehyung,” he answered, trying to keep his voice calm.

• Why are you here? - Jungkook's voice was already filled with undisguised aggression. He approached, not taking his eyes off Taehyung.

Taehyung backed away, feeling cornered. This guy seemed completely unpredictable.

“For fraud,” Taehyung blurted out, hoping that at least this would cool his new neighbor’s ardor a little.

“Fraud…” Jungkook drawled, twisting his lips into a grin. “And me for murder.”
