The line outside the treatment room slowly disappeared, drawing closer to the inevitable. Taehyung sat on the examination table, huddled in a ball, his fingers clutching tightly to the thick fabric of Jungkook's clothes. His annual medical checkup always turned into hysteria and tears, and his husband was the sole culprit.

Jungkook treated his beloved omega's health with care: he personally made doctor's appointments, monitored his schedule, and personally brought him to the clinic, without accepting excuses.

The office door opened, and the nurse called Jungkook in a monotone. He stood up, gently kissed Taehyung on the top of his head, and walked inside. A couple of minutes later, the alpha emerged—completely calm, not even wincing.
Looking at Taehyung, Jungkook sighed softly. The omega was already trembling violently, large tears glistening in his eyes, and his lower lip trembling slightly. This fear of a simple finger prick had been a recurring theme for years, and the alpha had become accustomed to it.

Jungkook immediately sat down next to him, pulled his husband close, and allowed him to bury his tear-stained face in his chest. Taehyung immediately buried his nose in the familiar, calming scent of the alpha, whimpering softly in rising panic.

“Tae, come on, it doesn’t hurt at all,” Jungkook gently stroked his back, trying to calm that large tremor.
In response, Taehyung only closed his eyes tighter and buried his face even deeper in his clothes, silently protesting any movement towards the door.

“Taehyung, it really doesn’t hurt, I won’t lie to you, let’s go,” Jungkook gently lifted his chin, looking into his tear-filled eyes.
