Mairimashita! Iruma-kun!

The Demon World, also known as the Underworld, is primarily the universe that Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun takes place in. It is also where Iruma Suzuki is transported at the beginning of the series. It is a dimension that coexists with the human world and is filled with magic and populated by demons. Most Demons are unable to cross between the human and Demon worlds, and most are completely unaware of the existence of the human world. This world was created by the leadership of the One Demon King Derkila. He forged his Demonkind from a new path, from nothingness to the rivers in the sky, as well as magma and flower gardens, which eventually formed into what the Demon World consists of today.

System used to determine a Demon's strength among all Demons in the Demon World, or primarily among their peers within Babyls Academy. They can do this by testing themselves in trials designed to assess their strength, perform feats, or earn achievements.

Since the main series acknowledges and focuses on the Demon Rating System within Babyls Academy, this article analyzes the latter rather than its effect on the Underworld as a whole. This traditional system is composed of ten distinct quantitative rankings. These numerical symbols, which are closely related and made from Hebrew letters, classify a demon's status in the demon world. Presumably, they begin their ranking when they first attend a demon school, increase or decrease through school activities, and even after graduation, they maintain their ranking and can increase it further. All first-year students are unranked and have a specific unranked status during their first days of school. At the given time, students, after being sorted in class, will be given a test to be analyzed for their ranking, such as the familiar demon summoning exam and the career exam. Afterwards, they are sorted by a sorting owl. The sorting owl has a pouch on its stomach containing the ranking badges, from which each student must place their hands and record their respective base ranks. Most of the time, first-year students are sorted into the Aleph (1) and Bet (2) classifications. In particular, a common stereotype within the school is considered to be based almost entirely on ranking. The higher the rank, the more popular the student. However, there are some exceptions, such as Iruma, who received a great deal of attention and recognition despite not being ranked (and later, the lowest rank) due to certain events and circumstances, in addition to being related to the main one. Furthermore, the quality and quantity of the food available in the school cafeteria also depends on the student's rank. For example, the menu is extremely limited to unranked demons, but the details become more complex and of higher quality, with more options, as the ranks increase. Food is also free for all students, although it is worth noting that any student can access the lower ranks, as well as the unranked food options, despite the quality being worse than even the lowest Aleph (1) ranked dishes.

The headmaster, Lord Sullivan, or any authorized staff member of Babyls Demon School can grant a rank increase to Babyls students. For first-year students, there are five ways to increase their ranks. Namely, they are the (1) Cannonball Execution, the (2) Division Feast, the (3) First Term Final Exams, the (4) Harvest Festival, and the (5) Music Festival. Each has different factors and procedures that contribute to how students' ranks increase, such as during the Division Feast one must be part of a Division group. However, it is possible for a demon's ranking to be lowered when they put the school in grave danger or when a student scores significantly lower than a passing grade during the term exams. Demons who reach the highest rank, Yodh, are considered candidates to become Demon Lords.

Sullivan's Domain (Lord Sullivan's mansion is located directly below the Babyls Demon School, in the middle of a wide plateau.)

Two Valleys (Accessible via the transporter lift, you can see a sort of terrain in the center, surrounded by these two valleys that are side by side, with Karakiri Valley on the right and Saezuri Valley on the left.)

Karakiri/Cutthroat Valley: (Karakiri Valley (Cutthroat Valley in English) is filled with sharp, towering peaks and deep caverns, filled with shadows and winding paths. It is the home of the Valley King. Due to this fact, it is notably off-limits to students and teachers, and Seazuri Valley is often used for school activities.)

Saezuri/Warbling Valley (Saezuri Valley (Warbling Valley in the English dub) is noticeably safer than Karakiri Valley; it is not home to creatures like the Valley King and is thus used for school events. Compared to Karakiri Valley, Saezuri Valley is full of mountainous terrain, with peaks that tower above the clouds. It lacks the sharp outcrops and shadow-filled caverns that make the other valley dangerous and threatening, instead having more of a "rolling hillside" vibe, with rounded peaks and clear skies, perfect for easy flying. However, the nature of the extremely tall peaks means that flying through Saezuri Valley requires many small detours to reach their destination as such, some demons are tempted to risk making their way through the much faster path of Karakiri Valley.)

Makubari Dome (A huge coliseum where popular personalities, mostly Akudols, perform on a large stage that is usually packed with watching fans. It is one of the largest venues in the Demon World, and is considered a sacred place where legendary concerts have been held.)

Lavras Prison (It is a giant fortress prison located underneath Walter Park that is designed as the main power for the amusement park to operate, as they need a large amount of magic power for the park to fully operate. In this case, they use the prisoner's magic, and then it is amplified above.)

Noisy Woods (A vast and sprawling forest where the Valac Family home is located. Its unique topography only allows family members or those accompanied by them to enter the forest and directly to their residence. Otherwise, any intruders will be lost. Areas within the forest include a small pond, Pokasuka Hill, and Machomupekekon (supposedly a field full of crops), which the Valac Family uses in their name.)

Magic Street (A shopping district, located near the right end of a wide plateau by Sullivan's house, which is generally a place where everyone buys goods, as well as where Babyls Teacher's dorms are, with some parks and black markets. Some of the places include a men's clothing store, a bookstore where essential kami-jin spells and legends are purchased, pet shops, stationery stores, and confectioneries.)

Valhalla (Valhalla is an underworld club, specifically a place for adults to gather and have fun. It is one of the shady places in the demon world that can easily be diverted from money, where a demon can be made in lieu of money as payment.)

Levilon Academy (A magical academy, competing with rival schools Jackapo High School and Babyls Demon School. Levilon is an underwater academy specializing in discipline and manners. It is headed by Lady Levi of the Big Three as Headmistress.)

Jackapo High School (Jackapo High School is one of the three rival magical academies, formed by Levilon, Jackapo, and Babyls. Jackapo High School is a massive 66-story underground tower, encircled by flames and surrounded by a moat of magma. It specializes in fostering competition of all kinds within the student cohort and is headed by Belial of the Big Three.)

Place where several of the Demon World's elite Demons gather. The three highest elite rankings are currently revealed as the One Demon King, the Three Great Demons, and the Thirteen Crowns.

Structure: The Tower of Babel consists of a total of 666 floors, each of which represents a workplace of the Demonic Group, and each on different levels.

Floor 665: Discussions between 10 of the 13 crowns (also known as the great heroes of the Underworld) often take place on this floor. On some occasions, the remaining members of the crown (the Three Great Heroes) may also visit this floor to join the meetings if necessary. Occasionally, they host a banquet called The Thirteenth Dinner and invite several special guests for the occasion. An onyx-colored plate-like shape, with writing inscribed in the center, is given to those guests respectively as an invitation.

Floor 666: This floor is strictly for the Big Three Heroes.

Demon World theme park run by Lomiere Ronove's father, Rosevelt Ronove. It is powered by the magic of criminals imprisoned in a five-story prison below the park.

Prestigious school in the Demon World run by the headmaster, Mr. Sullivan. The renowned academy has been teaching students from both low and high status Demon families,

facilitating their predestination by increasing, or to some extent, decreasing, their demon ranks while they remain at the school. In the Demon Realm, where humans are considered little more than a myth (and a food source in their school's anthem), the entire cohort of students (excluding Iruma) and the teachers are demons.

Structure Babyls is located at the top of a massive cliff, the surroundings of which closely resemble mysterious mountains. There are many towers within the academy, and several spiky buildings throughout. There are also fences surrounding it, but the school's outer walls are high enough to be considered a divide from the outside. Babyls can be reached by air (by flying demons) or simply by walking and entering through a large door in the center, likely the only entrance to the school.

Student count A total of 666 students are currently enrolled in the school, spread across six grades. Iruma's class (the first-year students at the start of the series) consisted of 163 students, divided into groups A, B, C, D, and the Abnormal Class.

Classification system Babyls uses the same ranking system used by demons throughout the Demon Realm. During school, demons can earn their first rank and continue to rise in rank, which corresponds to an increase in social status. The minimum required to graduate is rank 4 and above. The highest-ranking demons, Yodh, are candidates for the title of "Demon Lord."

All students are required to study academically, although there are some subject options they can choose to associate as they wish. Some are offered only in their initial year and are optional thereafter, or are required for all students to participate. A few of the subjects are also gender-specific, but in general, most must be taken regularly throughout the year. These are compulsory and elective subjects, respectively.

There are groups of Babyls students who focus on raising their ranks to the highest level in various activities or skills. Students with similar talents, ideals, and interests gather and interact. They also undergo training to improve magical powers, wisdom, physical strength, and leadership.

The purpose is to bring together students with common skills and interests to interact with each other and help improve their magic, knowledge, and physical prowess, as well as train leadership skills. They can rise in rank depending on how well they perform. From Alice's perspective, Divisions are groups that focus on raising ranks. Approximately 60% of Babyls' total student population participates in activities of this type, as it is one of the best ways to forge the necessary relationships or connections with higher-level students. There is a Batora tower in the school specifically for these types of activities.

Charge of school-wide broadcasting, from announcements to calling students to attend. Although their fighter may not be exciting, they have taken up the responsibility during the Batora Party Arc. This has earned them the grand prize and an immediate promotion in the rankings. They also interview students after special events.

Babyls' most respected and feared combatant, the student body, is described as what demons should be. They are responsible for ensuring order and peace throughout the school. They waste no time waking up early to review campus records, keep in shape, discuss the current situation with teachers, and take care of the grounds before classes begin.

The student council rarely leaves their classroom, but when they do, they patrol to ensure all the students are behaving well and not going through their evil cycles. Azazel Ameri, the Battler president, demonstrates the council's principles by putting aside selfish ideals and focusing on his ambition. This leads to members inspiring many students to follow their desires by working hard to achieve their goals. Although it will take time, most of the demons are returning to their old ways and preferring ideal pleasures. The student council will still fight for Ameri's ambition and the good of Babyls.
