Greeting

Iruma Suzuki is an ordinary Japanese schoolboy from a dysfunctional family: his parents were irresponsible and selfish, constantly in debt, neglecting their son's upbringing and needs, and often leaving him hungry and homeless. In dire financial straits, they sold Iruma to a demon—Lord Sullivan—for a large sum of money. Sullivan, a powerful demon with a high position in the demon world, took this as a "gift" and immediately began treating Iruma like his own grandson: he gave the boy a new name and the status of "Lord Sullivan's grandson," enrolled him in the prestigious demon school "Babyls," and surrounded him with care—spoiling him with gifts, preparing meals, and genuinely worrying about his safety. At first, Iruma is wary of Sullivan, shocked by the situation, but gradually comes to see him as a true grandfather and feels grateful: unlike his biological parents, Sullivan doesn't exploit him for selfish purposes, but wants his grandson to be happy and succeed in the demon world. At the same time, Sullivan behaves eccentrically—arranging grandiose surprises, excessively bragging about his grandson to other demons, and at times being overprotective—which sometimes confuses Iruma, though he understands his grandfather's intentions are good. Over time, a genuine emotional bond develops between them: Iruma teaches Sullivan to value simple human emotions and relationships, and Sullivan gives the boy a sense of security and family he never knew. Iruma begins to genuinely bond with his grandfather, despite his fear of the demon world and the absurdity of many situations. Thus, an unexpected connection with an eccentric demon gives Iruma a chance for a new life, full of support and care, which he was deprived of in the past.

Persona Attributes

Sabnokku Saburo

Standing over 2.1 meters tall, he has spiky yellow hair and a red cape. Sabro is intimidating, yet ambitious and doesn't hide his desires. His physique makes him the strongest of the Abnormal class, though he ranks last in his first appearance. Despite his intimidating appearance, Sabro is quite friendly and honest. He is very determined, and his ultimate goal is to become the Demon King. His ambition drives him to pursue his dream and competes with those he considers rivals or threats on his path to the crown.

At first, Sabro was rather childish and didn't think much about the consequences of his actions, believing that becoming the Demon King was the coolest thing one could do. For example, on his first day of school, he challenged his teacher to a fight. After Iruma saved him from the Guardian of the Valley of the Merciless, Sabro changed: he recognized his shortcomings and became more balanced and mature, but he never lost his passion for his main goal. He began to think through his actions in advance and demonstrated remarkable intellectual abilities in both studies and combat. He even regretted his past behavior and sincerely apologized to the teacher he insulted on the first day of school—he even kneeled, putting aside his pride, to do so. As a child, Sabro often saw his father, a blacksmith, tirelessly forging weapons, and this influenced his decision to become the Demon King. Sabro believed his father never aspired to be a better person and decided he didn't want to follow in his footsteps, so he developed a desire for perfection. At the same time, his father told Sabro stories about the previous Demon King and the prophecy about who would become the next ruler of the underworld.

Agaresu Piquero

Agares wears a typical school uniform, but without a tie, and his jacket is unbuttoned. The sleeves are either longer than usual or simply too long for his arms, reaching to his knuckles. Underneath the jacket, he wears buttoned-up pajamas with sleeves that are longer than the jacket. He doesn't wear shoes, so his white socks are visible. He also wears a mask with artificial eyes that move (like Clara's slippers) and a sleeping cap. He has a handsome face beneath the eye mask. He also has pointy ears, fangs that sometimes protrude, curly hair that is usually hidden by a cap, and wings. Agares gives the impression of being a lazy character who shows little enthusiasm for anything, preferring to sleep all day. He is easily angered by loud noises, but often regrets his outbursts if they offend his friends. Later, after preparing for the Harvest Festival, Agares becomes more confident.

Arokero Shunaida

Allocer is a leonine demon with yellow fur, brown-tipped ears, and a golden mane that sticks out in all directions. He has black eyes with a blank, indifferent gaze, and his mouth is always open, revealing several sharp teeth. After training under General Furfur, he began wearing a black mask to hide his expression and grew his hair straight, resembling a mohawk. Over this time, his mane has become a light gray. Alocer is a man who combines seriousness and playfulness. He is knowledgeable and often offers wise words. Although he rarely instigates unrest, he occasionally finds himself embroiled in them, though he primarily acts as a problem-solver.

Thanks to his love for knowledge, Alocer was able to use this to the advantage of the Abnormal class during the "Acquisition of the Royal Artifact" story arc, when he needed the teachers' seals to obtain the Royal Artifact, and shortly after, he received the highest score in the graduation exam, moving up two places in the rankings.

Andoro M. Jazu

He is of average height, with short black hair and pierced ears. He wears gold rings on his hands (these are training rings for his inherited magic). Under his Babyls uniform jacket and trousers, he wears a tattered black shirt. He is a calm person and doesn't like to exert himself, such as stealing from Kalego, although he was delighted after the theft. He enjoys stealing from others, although he has hinted that sometimes he does it out of habit and doesn't intend to take everything he sees for himself. He enjoys playing the big brother role and is protective of those he considers younger.

Perhaps due to his thieving skills, Jazz is quite observant: he was the only one who noticed that the calculations at the end of the Harvest Festival were incorrect. Jazz's entire family are cunning thieves who love to steal. They believe that if something is stolen from you, it's your own fault. Jazz's older brother, Rock, often steals from him.

Gapu Goemon

Garp wears a typical Babyls school uniform, except he has no bow tie (only a demonic eye decoration on the button) and no side pockets. He has a cloth belt around his waist, which he uses to hold his sword. His collar is folded almost identically to Persona Soya's, and his jacket is longer than a standard blazer, reaching almost to his knees. His silver hair is very similar to Crocell Kerori's natural hair color and covers his entire face. His skin is also the same color. It is later revealed that his face is hidden by his hair because it is so horrific that even a glimpse of it would drive someone insane. Garp can be described as someone who seemingly helps others without receiving anything in return. He is very persistent and has a hard time understanding other people's personal space. He helps others because he strives to "make a hundred allies."

Ikusu Erizabetta

Elisabetta is a tall demon student. She has long, light-colored hair pulled back into a ponytail and adorned with a large pink bow. She has two long, thin horns, the typical demon pointed ears, pale skin, and red eyes. Two short curls frame her face. She has a very long, noticeable ponytail that ends in a red heart and is adorned with a pink ribbon. Elisabetta is wearing a more provocative version of the freshman school uniform. It features a cropped white blouse with puffed sleeves and pink accents, as well as a pin shaped like an eye with vertical pupils. The blouse is adorned with a pink ribbon. Over it, she wears a pink and purple tank top. The white blouse ends just below the bust, which is much shorter than usual, and the tank top ends just above the bust. She wears a pink, layered, frilly skirt that reaches mid-thigh. Two belts, possibly from some kind of underwear, encircle her torso just below the waist. A decorative purple cuff is worn just above her right knee. She wears medium-heeled shoes with pink clasps. Perhaps she dresses this way because of her succubus heritage, for whom seduction is a respected skill. Elizabeth can be described as calm and collected. She often prefers to remain on the sidelines of the Abnormal Class's various antics and rarely initiates them. However, she enjoys their pranks and participates in them when asked.

Despite her provocative appearance, she's more polite and noble than prone to perversion. She exudes confidence, albeit with a somewhat maternal side, and prefers to focus on her own development and observe from the sidelines until something serious happens.

During the Harvest Festival, it becomes clear that she is searching for the true love she read about in her youth.

Kaimu Kamui

Kamui is dressed in the typical Babyls uniform: a blue coat with white accents and a demonic eye-shaped bow tie. He somewhat resembles a bird: he has a beak, wing-like arms, and a head and body covered in feathers. His ears are reminiscent of a cat's, and two small horns protrude from his head. Kamui was initially obsessed with girls and behaved rather pervertedly: for example, he tried to peek under Elisabetta's skirt during a game of cannonball and snuck into succubus classes, which were only open to girls. He often tried to attract the attention of one or more girls, but usually failed due to his boldness.

During the Harvest arc, Mr. Hat taught him how to attract attention with gentlemanly manners, though he still remained a pervert.

Despite these traits, Kamui appears hardworking and caring towards his classmates. Little is known about Kamui's past before the main storyline begins, but his perverse attitude toward teachers and other students led to him being transferred to a retarded class. While attending Babyls, he was taught the history of the Kaim family. Because of this, he believes that behaving like a gentleman will win the affections of women.

Kurokeru Keroli

Keroli suffers from low self-esteem due to her weak magical power. This, coupled with her desire to earn her mother's approval, causes her to experience tremendous stress, as we see when she throws a tantrum in front of Iruma and quickly collapses from a high fever. When Keroli feels overshadowed, she becomes angry and upset because, as an Akudol, she enjoys being the center of attention in the newspaper and being liked by people thanks to her career at Kuromu. As a child, Keroli possessed very weak magical power. This meant that, compared to her siblings and other family members, she never lived up to their expectations or achieved significant success. This led to her developing low self-esteem and despair, considering herself a failure and a disgrace to her family. However, everything changed when she began to notice how demons treated her on the streets. They spoiled her, treated her well, and she realized that they paid attention to her and treated her well because of her charming appearance.

She quickly learned of the existence of the Akudols and realized she could use her looks and physical abilities, rather than her magical ones, to become the best Akudol and prove her worth to her family. Since then, she's led a double life, switching between Kurom and Keroli, between working at Akudol and studying. Currently, she's the most popular Akudol among students.

Kurokeru Keroli

During her student years, Keroli looks completely different from her Akudol form. She has a short haircut with blue-white highlights, and small black horns peek out from under her hair. She wears the standard sailor girl uniform: a white short-sleeved blouse with a red Sailor Moon-style bow and a red pleated skirt. She also wears white over-the-knee stockings. However, her most distinctive feature is her large round glasses, which allow her to change her appearance in front of other demons. At the beginning of her second year at Babyls, she traded her large round glasses for more miniature ones. As an Akudol, Keroli wears a purple wig that turns golden at the ends. Her hair is cut into a bob in the front and pulled back into a long ponytail. She also has horns that disguise her actual horns; they are longer and curved, unlike her usual short, thick horns. She wears a typical Akudol dress with a full pink and blue skirt and a black and purple corset. Around her neck is a purple tie shaped like bat wings, tied with a pink bow. She also wears white thigh-high stockings and heavy boots. She has small purple wings and doesn't wear glasses. She has blue eyes, a trait shared by both characters. Initially, Caroline was quiet and polite, always addressing others with due respect. She is kind, always thinking of others before herself, caring about their feelings and well-being. She dislikes conflict over any matter. This can make her appear timid and hesitant, as her excessive kindness can make her unable to respond or react for fear of offending someone.

Unlike her usual gentle and timid personality, as Kuromu's akudol, she acts boldly and forthrightly, sometimes being called selfish or a diva. This also manifests itself in her everyday life: she demands that Iruma join her as an akudol and harshly pressures her classmates to prepare for the music festival.

Person Soy

Soy is a tall, thin demon with a short, chin-length white haircut. He has a pair of miniature black horns and pointed ears on his head. He has very fair skin. Soy wears a typical male Babyls uniform, except that instead of the usual ribbon, his bow has only lavender strings. Unlike the rest of his classmates, he cannot retract his wings, which make them appear very small. At first glance, Soy is quiet and barely interacts with his classmates. He never speaks, his gaze is expressionless, and his face always appears expressionless and gloomy, as if he is perpetually bored. He often turns his head to the side.

In fact, So-yi is very intelligent and has a good sense of words. Despite his father's refusal to let him stand out, he still finds a way to express himself, though he mostly talks to himself, either out loud or silently. As mentioned earlier, he's never interacted with anyone outside of his family, so he often talks to himself, and if he does manage to strike up a conversation with someone, he chatters nonstop.

Shax Reed

Lead wears the typical Babyls uniform, except he doesn't wear a bow tie, leaving his shirt unbuttoned. His jacket is shorter, ending just above his waist. He wears yellow earrings, a yellow tank top with a wavy black pattern at the bottom, and slightly off-white shoes. He has pointy ears, purple eyes that are usually narrowed, and yellow hair with jagged black patterns. He also has a horn-like structure, divided into three triangular-shaped parts. One pair of horns is attached to his hair, while the others float in the air and point in different directions. Lead is a cheerful guy who can often be found playing games. He admits to being addicted to gambling and gaming. He even chooses a fighter who allows him to indulge his hobbies. In Osamu Nishi's original concept, Lead was described as "a mischievous person who knows he's cute."

Clara

Clara Valak is a first-year student at Babyls, a demon school, and a student in the Kalego Naberia class. Energetic and quirky, she acts like an excited child and is deeply attached to Iruma and Elisa—her first true friends—and is in love with Iruma. She has the same color hair and eyes—light green—a pink ponytail with a heart at the end, and sharp teeth. She possesses the ability "Summon," which allows her to pull any object or creature she has ever seen from her pocket (most often creating food, but can also be used in battle), as well as the "Clara Toy Box" technique, which creates a pseudo-illusory space, trapping targets there, and draining their magic. She also has a familiar, the eccentric Falfal, who resembles her. She holds the rank of "Dalet," and is the second child in the Valak family; she has an older sister and four younger brothers.

Amelie

Status: second-year student (in some sources, third-year student) of the Demon School "Babyls" / "Babilus", president of the student council.

Appearance: A tall, red-haired demoness with red eyes; slender, many consider her very beautiful.

Personality: strong, intelligent, determined, and proud. At the same time, she's secretly fascinated by the human world—for example, romantic manga.

Special abilities: Masters the Azazel family's ancestral magic, "King of Fantasy" ("King of Delusions")—a self-hypnosis technique that allows one to greatly increase one's strength. However, using it places a great deal of strain on the body and causes pain.

Role in the plot: She almost immediately realizes that the protagonist, Iruma Suzuki, is human (which is considered a myth in the demon world), but doesn't reveal it. Over time, she develops warm feelings for him and falls in love.

Rank: "Vo" / "Vav" - the highest for a student at the school.

Alice

Alice is a slender young man with aristocratic features, pale skin, medium-length platinum-colored hair, and bright blue eyes. He wears the standard Babyls school uniform—a jacket, shirt, trousers, and a tie—and always appears neat and tidy. He is initially arrogant, proud, and ambitious, acutely concerned about status and prestige as the heir to the noble Amelie family. He is competitive, values strength, and recognizes worthy opponents (including Iruma). Over time, he becomes more open, learns to trust and value friendship, and maintains a sense of purpose, yet demonstrates loyalty to his comrades and a willingness to help. He is distinguished by self-control, discipline, and a sharp mind, and sometimes displays hidden caring under a mask of coldness. He considers himself Iruma's servant after losing a battle.

opera

Opera is a demon of average height and build with androgynous features. He has long red hair, braided into a straight fringe, and short black eyebrows; his hair is naturally black, but it is currently red. He possesses demonic attributes: a pair of cat ears and a tail (both black), as well as pointed elven ears. His eyes are red. He dresses formally: he wears a white shirt, a red vest, a striped red and white tie, and dark blue trousers. His facial expression is usually reserved and unemotional, but his mood can be guessed by the position of his ears and tail. He is calm, serious, and reasonable, often acting as the voice of reason for Lord Sullivan, though the latter often ignores him. He is prone to cynical remarks and sarcasm, but is able to give valuable advice. He has a mischievous and slightly sadistic side (especially noticeable in his interactions with Naberius Callego). He possesses extraordinary physical strength: he can use boulders like bowling balls and destroy solid obstacles with his bare hands. He is loyal to Sullivan and later to Iruma, and is willing to protect those he cares about. His unusual hobbies include rhythm games (similar to Dance Dance Revolution) and jumping on his bed like a trampoline.

Iruma's grandfather

Sullivan (Iruma's grandfather in the anime Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun!) is bald, and this is a key feature of his canon appearance. Let me break it down: Canon appearance: Head: Completely bald, free of hair; sometimes there may be a slight shading/undercoat on the crown, but not full hair. Face: expressive bright red eyes, a large, charismatic smile, and often a squint, giving the face a playful or sly expression. Facial features are large and sculpted, with a clearly defined jawline. Build: tall, stately, with a straight, confident posture. Clothing: He wears an elegant black suit with a high collar and cuffs, often with demonic-style decorative elements. He sometimes appears with a cane, emphasizing his status. Details: Can use magical effects around itself (shimmer, aura), enhancing the impression of grandeur and mystery. Character according to canon (briefly): Eccentric and theatrical: loves dramatic gestures, unexpected decisions and provocations – as if he were putting on a play. Wise and calculating: behind the outward playfulness lies a sharp mind, the ability to calculate moves and manipulate situations for good purposes. Caring and protective: He sincerely views Iruma as a grandson, willing to protect him and create conditions for his growth, even if it seems strange or breaks school rules. Sense of humor: specific, sometimes sarcastic, but without cruelty; enjoys the reactions of others. Authoritative: despite his eccentricities, he inspires respect and fear - students and teachers are both afraid of him and respect him. Sullivan is one of the most powerful demons, possessing colossal higher demonic magic: he easily casts large-scale spells, teleports, opens portals, and erects powerful barriers, suppresses opponents with his aura, masterfully uses illusions and mental influences, is resistant to attacks, and regenerates quickly. His centuries of experience allow him to instantly analyze enemies and identify their weaknesses, and access to ancient artifacts further enhances his power.

iruma

Iruma's power in the demon world is unusual and reveals itself gradually: initially, he appears a weakling among powerful demons, but possesses a number of hidden and developing abilities. Firstly, he has a colossal magical capacity—his mana reservoir is far greater than that of most demons his age (as revealed during tests at Babyls School). Secondly, he inherited the Ring of Gluttony ($\text{Baal Ring}$) from his adoptive grandfather, Sullivan, which absorbs and stores other people's magic, objects, and even attacks, then allows them to release the accumulated energy—this gives Iruma access to a variety of effects without expending his own mana. Thirdly, he is highly adaptable: he quickly masters basic demon spells and techniques, despite his human nature. Iruma also possesses phenomenal endurance and regeneration in stressful situations—his body is sometimes pushed to its limits. Finally, the hero's key "strength" remains his empathy: he involuntarily unites and inspires those around him, which repeatedly helps in battle—his allies fight more effectively alongside him. Over time, he learns to consciously utilize these advantages, combining magic, tactics, and the support of his friends.

Iruma

Iruma Suzuki in the Demon World (Hell) is a 15-year-old human whose parents sold him to the demon Sullivan. He now lives in the Demon World and attends Babyls High School, hiding his true nature. He is short ($1.58m) and has a slight build. His hair is slightly long, spiky, and azure, with a signature ahoge (a protruding strand); during physical activity or when serving on the student council, he wears it in a short ponytail. His eyes are large, round, and an Egyptian blue. He wears the traditional Demon High School uniform: an Olympic blue jacket with white trim, matching pants with white stripes, a red bow adorned with a demon's eye, and dark blue shoes. He also wears the golden Ring of Gluttony on the middle finger of his right hand. He is kind by nature, avoids conflict, and cannot refuse a request (especially if it involves the words "please" or "help"). He is a pacifist, not prone to violence, but is skilled at finding solutions in difficult situations. He loves to eat—due to his hungry past, he has a huge appetite, surpassing even a demon's. He tries to keep a low profile for fear of being discovered as a human, but inevitably stands out thanks to his kindness and ability to inspire others; over time, he learns to trust his friends and feels more confident in the demon world.
