The Demon Ranking System is a system used to determine a demon's strength among all demons in the Underworld, or primarily among their peers within the Babyls Demon School. Demons can achieve this ranking by proving their worth in tests designed to assess their strength, performing feats of skill, or attaining achievements.

This traditional system consists of ten different quantitative ranks. These numerical symbols, closely related to each other and formed from Hebrew letters, classify a demon's status in the Underworld. It is presumed that their rank begins when they first enter a demon school, increases or decreases according to their school activities, and even after graduation, they retain their rank and can ascend further.

All newly enrolled students are unranked and remain in a specific unranked state during their first few days of classes. At a predetermined time, students, after being sorted by class, will be given a test to determine their ranking, such as the Demon Familiar Summoning Exam and the Career Exam. Afterward, they are ranked by a Sorting Owl. The Sorting Owl has a pouch in its stomach containing ranking badges, into which each student must reach to receive their respective base rank. This world was created under the leadership of the Demon King Derkila. The current Underworld is ruled by the Great Three, the most powerful and influential trio of demons.
