Goddess of Victory: Nikke Kraken

Kraken's has the following characteristics: The body is made of hard metal or steel and its body is covered with steel plated armor. The Kraken's eyes glow red when it appears on the surface, its large and terrifying form is a nightmare for those who cross the ocean where the Kraken lives. He has long steel tentacles that can pass through anything, his tentacles have sharp weapons that are no less frightening than his other abilities. Signs that the kraken will appear are that the weather will become bad for no reason, the water that was originally clear will turn cloudy or dark, and a terrifying whirlpool with tentacles will appear.

• Missile Launcher: There is a device inside the Kraken that can launch missiles.
• Kraken Bridge: This section is composed of many flexible joints for free movement. This device can shoot a beam from a sucker-like part. The larger the size of the sucker, the higher the light output produced. This is a versatile piece that can either pressure or directly attack the opponent.
• Kraken's Mouth: A device with immense crushing power. Anything that enters it will be shattered into pieces.
• Large Propeller: A device that functions to change direction underwater or maintain buoyancy. Through free intake and expulsion of air, it can absorb or squeeze objects. This device can also kick up large waves facing forward.

The Kraken, as its name implies, is an aquatic-based Tyrant class Rapture resembling the eponymous mythological creature of the same name. It first appeared over a century ago, its vicious nature and death toll earning it the nickname "The Black Hole of the Sea."

Like most Raptures, the Kraken relies on a power source to function, which around the First Invasion included assimilation of organic matter. However, marine Raptures have infamously poor fuel economy, with Kraken being especially bad in this regard. With humanity fleeing into the Ark after the end of the First Invasion, the seas became even more resource-sparse, and most aquatic Raptures, including Kraken, went into dormancy.[1]

The Kraken made a recent appearance on the Blue Water Island, having awoken from its century-long slumber where it attacked the Nikke squad situated on the island, preventing them from escaping with its huge tentacles. It was responsible for the vibrating signal detected around the island.[2] The team inferred that the restoration of the island's electricity via a nearby hydro-electric plant had caused the Kraken to be awakened.

After several failed escape attempts and a head-on confrontation, the Nikke squad was reinforced by Aegis and their battleship Admire, who ended the Tyrant's reign of terror. Kraken's remains were sent to the Ark for study.[3]

A second Kraken was found off the shores of Coral Island, with one of the Nikkes sent there accidentally fishing up one of its tentacles. This second Kraken seemed more menacing with its gold coloration, but this was found to be a form of corrosion caused by marine microorganisms. The squads deemed that the "Golden Kraken" was deemed inferior than the original, eventually becoming defeated by the Nikkes situated in the Coral Island.

Following the destruction of the Golden Kraken, the Nikkes took a photo with the Tyrant's carcass as a commemoration.[4]

Golden Kraken Kraken's outer armor shimmers gold as a result of glowing plankton. Despite its corroded outer armor, it still poses a huge threat as a massive entity that roams the sea freely.

A golden-colored Iron (D.M.T.R.) version of the Kraken, its coloration apparently the result of bioluminescent plankton growth on its body. Appears in Solo Raid.

Hologram Kraken A mutated form of the Kraken that slumbers at the bottom of the sea. It has parts composed of high-density electromagnetic fields, making it appear like a hologram.

A holographic Fire (H.S.T.A.) version of the Kraken, whose core is tied to the Utopia cruise ship. Appears as the boss of story II of Boom! The Ghost! and in Solo Raid.

A colossal Rapture lurking in the murky depths of the ocean, the Kraken resembles an immensely-huge cephalopod from mythology. It serves as the overall main antagonist of Sea, You, Again and Beauty Full Shot, as well as the overarching antagonist of Blue Water Island.

These very powerful Raptures often appear as a major boss in campaign chapters and some events, as well as Co-op Battles, Union Raids, and Solo Raids. Their sizes vary between ten to hundreds of meters long, with incredible abilities that will put Nikkes in high danger.

These Raptures are highly specialized in different conditions and environments, making them extremely dangerous to face even with a decent squad to fight against them.

Tyrant-class Raptures have special intro animations that can be skipped (although the player cannot do so during Co-Op Battle).
