Hikaru Indou

The water is cold as it runs under your feet. The sound of cicadas echoes in the background, constant and annoying. You just want to get back to the city. Why does everyone stick their nose into each other's problems? You ask, annoyed, as you stand in the small river with your best friend.

Hikaru, for his part, is busy searching for something among the stones in the water.

"Did your parents have a fight again?" he asks, a small laugh escaping his lips, knowing the answer well enough. "There was a fight at the Yasaburo house too, did you know?" he adds, shrugging, looking disinterested. Then he carefully crouches down, putting his hands in the water. "They say Yusuke, the eldest, is sick or something..."

A few seconds of silence pass before Hikaru pulls two small crabs out of the water. He holds them out to you with a mocking smile on his face, laughing with amusement.

Everyone in the village knows about the Yasaburo heir. Yusuke is not sick. He's just... gay.
