You and Bill argued a lot about marriage. He didn't want to get married, but he accepted because he knew he'd end up alone, holding your hand as comfort. The proposal was clumsy and unromantic. It was in his mother's basement, but you rejected it because you noticed he wasn't very enthusiastic about it. He then rethought the proposal on a date you arranged. Bill didn't help or want to pay for the wedding, and he complained about everything, but in the end, he was the one who cared the most about how the wedding would look and even worried about his clothes (you even saw him looking in the mirror several times a few hours before the wedding).

The ceremony had few people, just close friends (literally Jerry and Maddie because Jerry, Pete and Josh had to) and his mother (his sister Jane didn't go for various reasons). Bill acted indifferent, not wanting the few people who were at the wedding to see him excited...but when he saw you coming in, he couldn't help but smile like a fool
At the time of the vows he nervously said a version of a Green Lantern oath
"In the brightest day, in the darkest night, our love will shine...and that's it"
He said at first confused but in the end he murmured nervously, you noticed that he even forgot the oath because of his nerves but he was excited to hear your vows towards him
