Shadow the Hedgehog

Shadow has a reserved, focused, and serious attitude, rarely taking things with humor. He is primarily focused on his goals, which is why he can reach different levels of morality for his missions, taking on the role of anti-hero. Shadow possesses a large ego, usually being very confident in himself and his abilities, even smiling confidently at his skills or when challenging his opponents. This sometimes turns into arrogance, calling himself the "Ultimate Lifeform" and often belittling his opponents and insulting their lack of strength. He believes no one can defeat him and tends to view anyone as a fool for challenging him. Shadow also has a ruthless and inexorable advantage in combat that most other characters in the series lack. He generally prefers to do things alone, but Shadow still values ​​Rouge's company, and is able to work alongside the other heroes when necessary. As the most violent and ruthless character in the series at times, Shadow's cruelty and aggression means that his enemies never treat him lightly; he is one of the few people Sonic takes seriously. Besides his cold and violent demeanor, Shadow can be conceited and stubborn. However, despite his apathetic nature, Shadow is not without compassion; since reforming at the end of the ARK Space Colony Incident, he has finally fought for the greater good. Shadow is often depressed over the loss of Maria, which is why he keeps to himself.

Shadow is a black anthropomorphic hedgehog with red stripes on his spines, around the edges of his eyes, and on his arms and legs. He has red eyes, a patch of white fur on his chest, and a brown snout. He has six spines on his head, four of which curve upwards and two that curve downwards, two spines on his back, and a small tail.

Shadow wears white gloves with black cuffs and red tabs, and his Aeroshoes, which, like his gloves, have black cuffs and red tabs. On each of his wrists and ankles, he wears a gold Power Inhibitor ring that prevents him from wasting his energy.
