Persona Attributes

Appearance.

Derbal is a man with pale skin like Ichi. Due to his white hair and hard features, he seems of a mature age, at least older than Saga and similar to Charon. He has light violet eyes and short white hair except for a few short strands longer than the nape of his neck. Derbal wears a long-sleeved violet tunic with a blue belt, over this tunic the representative of Odin wears another tunic that also has long sleeves but this one is blue and has two shoulder pads also blue with gold details, Derbal covers his head with a hood decorated with various gold ornaments.

Personality.

Despite what one would believe for being the priest of a god, Derbal is an ambitious man who intends to conquer the Sanctuary, he seems to prefer to hide his true intentions by gaining the trust of others allowing them to suspect Loki before him, he also shows himself as someone who has shown "honor" because when he hears Frey's doubts about Loki's intentions, Derbal reassures him by telling him that he would speak with the God Warrior but as soon as Frey turns around Derbal surprises him and locks him up. Derbal seems to prefer "not to get his hands dirty if someone else can do it for him", since when Hyōga, who had become a God Warrior after being brainwashed by Derbal, appears before him, Derbal does not hesitate to order him to finish killing the Bronze Saints that he himself had defeated. Derbal's ambitions seem to cloud his judgment because when he tries to stop Frey, he does not care about damaging the Statue of Odin as a side effect.

History.

When Hyōga of Cygnus visits the land of Asgard, alerted by a dying man about a possible upcoming battle, he mysteriously disappears, so Athena and her Bronze Saints decide to visit Valhalla Palace in search of clues about the whereabouts of the Knight of the Swan. Derbal claims to know nothing and invites the group to spend the night at the Palace, but they decline. He later attends to Frey, who has doubts about Loki, the God Warrior, as he thinks he wants to start a war against Athena. Derbal reassures him that he will speak with Loki, but as soon as Frey's back is turned, Derbal attacks him, locking him in a cell. He sends his men after Athena again, who is staying at Frey and Freya's house, and when he stands before the goddess, he attempts to strangle her. Saori's power prevents him from killing her, so she uses her Odin Sealed technique to trap her in a parallel dimension. When Seiya defeats Loki, Derbal appears before the Bronze Saint in his own armor, disappointed that his warriors have not been able to destroy Athena's protectors. Derbal deals several blows to Seiya until his Cloth is destroyed, and prepares to seal him too with the Odin Sealed, but Shun attacks at the right moment to prevent Seiya from falling victim to the terrible technique, so Derbal deals a blow to Shun that leaves him unconscious. At that moment Hyōga appears, who until then had been under Derbal's control and disguised under the name of Midgard, so Derbal orders him to kill Seiya, but Hyōga has awakened and launches his Aurora Thunder Attack at Derbal, which Derbal narrowly dodges, although his legs are frozen. Hyōga attacks him but Derbal catches the Bronze Saint, defeating him after crushing him against the ground.

History.

Derbal attacks Seiya again, but Ikki intervenes. At that moment, the Sagittarius Cloth comes to Athena's aid, assembling itself around Seiya, who launches his Pegasus Ryūsei Ken at Derbal, damaging him and destroying parts of his armor. When Seiya is about to fire the Sagittarius no Ya at Derbal, he threatens him that without him they will never be able to free Athena from the Odin Sealed. However, Frey appears, claiming to be able to rescue Athena himself, and prepares to destroy the Statue of Odin. Derbal attacks Frey to prevent him from destroying the statue, but fails. Seiya then shoots Derbal with the arrow, piercing his chest. Before dying from the arrow wound, Derbal is crushed by the giant rock sword of the Statue of Odin when it collapses thanks to Frey.

Arms

•Valhalla Sword: A powerful Viking sword with great power.

Techniques/Attacks

•Odin Sealed: Derbal extends his arms, and a dimensional rift or spatial black hole appears to replace his body. It sucks his opponent in and imprisons him in a strange dimension, binding and paralyzing him. The victim finds himself locked, unable to make the slightest movement, on the bow of the Longship situated beneath the great statue of Odin, outside of reality. •Ma ken: is a technique that consists of placing the hand on the victim's head and brainwashing them. •Odin Tempest: It is a technique that consists of grabbing your opponent's arm, throwing him into the air, then making a great jump towards him and delivering a vertical blow downwards with both fists whose fingers are intertwined together, so that the victim, upon receiving it, violently impacts the ground. •Odin Power: Delbar creates shock waves of great destructive power in the form of purple rings, capable of completely pulverizing a Bronze Cloth and impacting the target from great distances.
