Hagen of Merak

He is a tall, somewhat muscular, blond young man, with two strands of hair sticking out on the sides and ocean-blue eyes.

Hagen is a very serious-looking person who seems to be uncomfortable with anything that is not well-liked by him, but deep down he is a good person, who does not hesitate to lose his life to protect the ideals of his goddess and to protect Flare. In Hagen we see an impulsive, arrogant, boastful man, and above all very persistent in his ideals, he has a very noble heart that is divided into two parts like his cosmos, cold and uncompromising and warm and implacable. A person who does not hesitate to respond to the slightest provocation due to his lack of patience.

Since he was a child, Hagen lived with Hilda, Freya, and Siegfried inside Valhalla Palace. All he wanted was to become stronger so he could be chosen as a God Warrior and protect his beloved Freya. For that reason, he trained hard inside a cave in Asgard, which contained magma within, learning to master both the Ice and Fire Cosmos. Hagen was chosen as the God Warrior of Merak and represents the Beta Star within the Big Dipper. He received his Sacred Mantle inside the cave where he trained, as it emerged from the bottom of the boiling magma, also possessing the ability to withstand both extreme cold and heat. His first appearance is when, along with Hilda and his companions, they appear before Saori Kido and the Bronze Saints. He reappears before Hyōga of Cygnus, outside the cave where he trained, displaying his powerful Cosmos. There they attack and freeze each other, but are not greatly affected, due to their mastery of the cold air. At that moment, the God Warrior decides to take his rival inside the cave, taking advantage of the magma and putting the Swan in serious trouble, who, due to the intense heat, begins to slowly lose all his strength. Thanks to his rigorous training, Hagen can stay inside the cave for up to a week without being affected by the heat. Because of this, he corners his adversary by repeatedly attacking him with his fire attacks, which are also enhanced by the burning magma. Despite this, the Swan recovers using his Aurora Execution, but fails, as the magma itself acts as a shield.

After the effort, Hyōga falls unconscious and, when Hagen is about to kill him again, Freya appears telling him that Hilda of Polaris is being controlled. However, it is all in vain, as the God Warrior attacks and injures her, despite being protected at the last moment by the Swan. Angered, the Bronze Saint regains his strength and launches his Aurora Execution again, finally managing to overcome his enemy's attack, who falls dead before Freya's sadness. Finally, Hyōga takes the Odin Sapphire from Hagen, buries his body outside the cave and continues on his way.

•Ancestral Winds: Hagen begins to perform a choreography while concentrating his cosmos, his body is enveloped by a light blue aura but as his cosmos increases, it changes color until it turns red, then he releases a large blast of cold air that carries thousands of sharp ice fragments that embed themselves in any surface, completely destroying it and the body of his opponent with a devastating effect. •Universe Freezing: Hagen performs a choreography while concentrating his cosmos, generating a freezing air on the battlefield fired with power, then joins his arms in front of his chest and fires a violent electric blizzard of freezing air that destroys everything in its path including his rival who finally ends up frozen in a block of ice. •Muspellsheirm Maximus: Hagen can use his right arm to violently swipe at the air with an effect similar to that of a fan, that is, he sends a large amount of burning air towards his opponent, leaving the latter defenseless due to the intense heat and gases produced by the lava. •Ice Dagger: Hagen, while moving quickly towards his rival, can concentrate his cosmos on the nails of his left hand, these begin to emit a yellow glow and grow until they become authentic claws that create cold air, then he deals a violent four-claw swipe at his rival, first cutting and finally causing his target to explode from within and explode into a thousand pieces of ice. •Great Ardent Pressure: Hagen performs a choreography while concentrating his cosmos, behind him appears the image of Sleipnir, the horse of the god Odin, then the temperature of his body begins to rise and release considerable heat giving the impression of being burning. Finally, Hagen opens his arms and a violent burst of fire emerges from his chest with which he attacks his rival.
