•Eagle Clutch: Io jumps and propels himself horizontally with both arms extended in the shape of a cross, then closes his fists and while concentrating his cosmos on them, points at his opponent and fires two bursts of energy from both fists that when joined together take the form of an eagle that strikes his opponent with its sharp claws. •Queen Bee's Stinger: Io points at her opponent with the index finger of her right hand, concentrates her cosmos on it and fires it at her adversary, giving it the form of a queen bee that advances rapidly in her direction until it reaches her and delivers a painful sting with its stinger. •Serpent Strangler: Io raises his left arm with a closed fist at the level of his face and concentrates his cosmos on it. During the run, Io's body disappears and a wolf appears in its place. History.

Io tells Shun that even if his armor is more powerful, it's useless if it can't destroy the South Pacific Pillar. However, Shun, determined not to give up, elevates his cosmos and is willing to sacrifice his life to achieve it. At that moment, Kiki arrives with the Libra Cloth and informs Shun that Seiya managed to knock down the North Pacific Pillar using one of the armor's weapons. With this new information, Shun takes the Nunchaku and throws it at the Pillar. In a last-ditch effort, Io tries to block the attack with his body, but is unsuccessful. The force of the Nunchaku is such that it pierces his body and destroys the Pillar. Shun approaches Io, who lies mortally wounded, and asks him why he acted that way. Io replies that he had to protect the Pillar at all costs. In his last moments, he advises Shun to stop being so noble, as his excessive nobility could lead to his downfall, and then dies in Shun's arms.

History.

Io quickly recovers and attacks with his Wolf's Fang. The chain transforms into a trap on the ground, trapping the wolf and destroying the head guard. Surprised that five of his beasts have been defeated and his Scale has taken considerable damage, Io decides to use the last of his beasts and attacks with his Grizzly Slap. Shun defends himself by wrapping his chain around Io, trapping the bear with him, and tightens the chain to destroy Io's torso guard, thus defeating all six beasts. Shun keeps Io tied up with his chain, refusing to kill him. Instead, he goes to destroy the Pillar. As Io watches Shun harmlessly attack the Pillar, he takes advantage of the distraction to free himself from the chain. Io then surprises Shun with an attack from behind using his Big Tornado, throwing him against the ground with a powerful shockwave. Io reproaches Shun for his excessive nobility and tells him that he should have killed him when he had the chance. Shun rises, determined to destroy the Pillar without attacking Io. Despite Io's constant attacks, Shun remains steadfast in his ideal, rejecting the idea of killing him and focusing solely on destroying the Pillar. This act of determination earns Io admiration for Shun's unwavering will, but he decides to attack again. This time, Shun maximizes his Cosmos and splits the Big Tornado in two, completely neutralizing the attack. He then wraps his chain around Io again. Although Io attempts to destroy the chain, he notices that it and Shun's Cloth glow with a golden glow, similar to that of a Gold Cloth. Shun explains that his armor was revived by the blood of the Gold Saints, which has greatly increased its power.

History.

Io makes his first appearance when Shun arrives at the South Pacific Pillar. Initially, he appears under the illusion of a beautiful maiden, causing Shun to let his guard down. Seizing this opportunity, Io attacks him with his six beasts, but Shun defends himself using his chain. When the illusion fades, Io appears before Shun and warns him that this place will be his grave. [2] Hearing his name, Shun remembers the legend of Scylla, a beast who hid six fearsome monsters under the guise of a beautiful woman. Io confirms this legend and begins his attack with the six beasts. Each of them manages to pierce Shun's chain defenses and injure him in different ways. After the attack, Io tells Shun that now that he has learned the power of his six beasts, he has the honor of choosing which one to use to kill him. When Shun does not respond, Io decides to choose for him and attacks with his Queen Bee's Stinger. Shun neutralizes the attack by transforming his chain into a spider web that traps the bee and destroys Io's arm guard, who is surprised by it [4]. Io then uses his Eagle Clutch, but Shun's chain turns into a net that traps the eagle and now destroys the guard of his right arm. Io does not stop and launches his Serpent Strangler, but Shun's chain circles around the snake and destroys the guard of his left arm. Despite being injured, Io gets back up and uses his Vampire Inhale. This time, the chain spins erratically around Shun, preventing the bats from reaching him, and then moves towards Io, destroying the wings on his back. Wounded on the ground, Io watches as Shun tries to dissuade him from combat, explaining that he is only there to destroy the Pillar.

History.

Io was a young man who lived a quiet life on the shores of San Felix Island, Chile. He spent his entire life there, enjoying the sea and the sea creatures he loved so much. During that time, he helped his father, who worked on a fishing boat. However, due to his great talent and intelligence, he was selected to enter a school in the city of Santiago. Before leaving, his father expressed his sadness, to which Io assured him that he would return during the holidays. In the end, his father shared his concerns about life in the city, warning him of the possible temptations and difficulties he might encounter there, but reminded him to always keep the landscapes of his home in his mind and be proud of being a child of the sea. When Io was chosen to be part of Poseidon's army, upon arriving in the city, he witnessed the problems of human society, which led him to join Poseidon with the goal of purifying the world. Shortly before Poseidon's arrival at the Underwater Temple, Sea Dragon meets with the Marine Generals outside Poseidon's Temple, thanking them for having gathered there. After this, he informs them that Poseidon will soon arrive at the Temple, thus marking the beginning of the Holy War against Athena's army. Therefore, he orders them to head to the Pillars they protect and prepare for the start of the battle, urging them to give their all. Io then runs off towards the Pillar of the South Pacific Ocean.

Personality.

Io appears before his opponent with a subtle and elegant smile that reflects the great confidence he feels in his abilities. He thought that, after observing Shun's chain defense, it was useless against him. However, his smile and confidence quickly fade when he observes how Shun adapts to his beasts and manages to defeat them one by one with his chain. This unexpected turn of events causes him a mixture of astonishment and concern when he realizes that his opponent is considerably stronger than he had anticipated. Later, Io shows confusion when he observes Shun's steadfast will, who, after having defeated him, refused to kill him and focused solely on destroying the South Pacific Pillar. He could not understand how a man could be willing to risk his life in such a way for his ideals. However, despite beginning to feel admiration for his opponent, this did not stop Io from continuing to cowardly attack him from behind with the intention of killing him, demonstrating that his mission as a Marine was above all else. Like the other Generals, Io demonstrates steadfast loyalty and devotion to his god, not hesitating to give his life for Poseidon's ideals and fulfill the mission entrusted to him. Ultimately, he admits to being quite similar to Shun in his devotion to his beliefs.

Appearance.

Io is a young man with fine, delicate features. However, the story does not place special emphasis on his physical attractiveness. His pink hair, tousled and messy, is short in the front and lengthens towards the back, where it reaches past his shoulders. Because he was in the middle of the battle between Athena and Poseidon, Io wore the Scale of Scylla at all times. As a result, his hair is pink and his eyes are red. In addition, his Scale acquired an orange hue with some golden parts.
