Persona Attributes

Appearance.

Aphrodite has sky-blue hair and azure eyes; she is also said to be the most beautiful saint, although she herself never mentions her physical appearance, but rather beauty itself. Her skin is damask-colored and her lips are a soft pink, understood as her natural appearance, since Aphrodite represents natural beauty. Below her left eye, Aphrodite has a mole, which can be considered a beauty mark.

Personality.

Aphrodite is taciturn and forceful, showing himself as a warrior proud of his strength. He was loyal to the imposter Pope, Saga, believing that only the strongest are capable of maintaining peace, as there has been peace in the Sanctuary during the imposter Pope's reign. Similarly, Aphrodite is a firm believer in the law of the strongest, where the weak must bow to the powerful, and subsequently accepts Saga's command, being one of the few Gold Saints, along with Deathmask and Shura, who know about the conspiracy and usurpation plotted by their colleague.

History.

At the age of 9, Aphrodite had already become a Gold Saint, wearing his armor at such a young age, like other "young" Gold Saints. Thirteen years before the events of the original manga, Aphrodite is present when Athena reincarnates in front of the Statue of Athena. After Saga's disappearance, he, Deathmask, Aiolos, and Shura remain in the Sanctuary while the other Saints go to train. Aphrodite is the first Saint to confront Aiolos during his escape. Aphrodite refuses to listen to Aiolos's explanations and attacks him with his Dagger Rose. Aiolos does not defend himself to avoid hurting him and restricts his movements with the Shadow Arrow to cross the temple. Later, outside the Sanctuary, Shura, Deathmask, and he try to prevent Aiolos from crossing a bridge. Shura destroys the bridge, despite the complaints of Deathmask, eliminating Aiolos. On the orders of the Patriarch, Aphrodite murders Daidalos of Cepheus and destroys Andromeda Island, because Daidalos had not answered the Sanctuary's calls for a long time, apparently suspecting that something was wrong in the sanctuary. Aphrodite recognizes Daidalos's power "despite being a Silver Saint". Aphrodite first appears in the Battle of the Twelve Houses, when Seiya of Pegasus and Shun of Andromeda reach the Temple of Pisces, throwing a pair of red roses at them just before they reach the entrance of the house, which they both managed to avoid. Seiya of Pegasus jumps over Aphrodite and, after stopping another red rose from Aphrodite, runs towards the Pope's Chamber. When Aphrodite turns to go after Seiya, he is stopped by Shun's Nebula Chain.

History.

Aphrodite tells Shun that Seiya will not reach the Patriarch's Chamber alive, because along the way he will encounter death caused by roses. These are not ordinary roses; they possess a deadly poison that takes effect the moment Seiya inhales the pollen or touches their thorns. Aphrodite reminds Shun again that he killed his master, Daidalos, because he was a traitor to the Sanctuary. Shun grabs Aphrodite's arms with his chain, hoping to reach Seiya and help him, but Aphrodite frees herself and knocks Shun down. Then Aphrodite attacks Shun with the Demon Royal Roses, knocking him down again, nearly unconscious. Shun gets up and is attacked again by Aphrodite, this time dodging the blow. Shun protects himself with the Circular Defense and challenges Aphrodite to attack again. Aphrodite attacks Shun again with the Demon Royal Roses, but the Circular Defense returns the attack against Aphrodite, who is then attacked with the Nebular Chain, but Aphrodite dodges the attack. Shun attacks with the Thunder Wave, knocking Aphrodite's helmet off. Shun attacks again with the Thunder Wave, but Aphrodite stops the attack with a black rose. Then Aphrodite attacks Shun with the Piranha Roses, destroying the Nebular Chain and the rest of Andromeda's armor. When Aphrodite believes she has defeated Shun, he gets up again, emanating a tremendous cosmos. Shun warns Aphrodite that it will be her fault if he has to use his supreme power, and then whirlwinds of wind begin to surge, surprising Aphrodite. Shun unleashes the Nebular Torrent, knocking Aphrodite down, although he also collapses from exhaustion.

History.

Aphrodite gets up, but is surrounded by a whirlwind of the Nebular Torrent that was still active just as Shun gets back up. Shun tells her that she has paralyzed him, and that if he swears loyalty to Athena and apologizes to the memory of his master, she will free him, but Aphrodite manages to move and grab one of her white roses, which she tells Shun will pierce directly into his heart the moment he throws it, challenging him to increase the power of his torrent. Shun once again increases the strength of the Nebular Torrent and asks Aphrodite again to deny the Patriarch, but Aphrodite tells Shun that strength is justice. Aphrodite throws the Bloody Rose at Shun, which pierce Shun's heart, and then Shun increases the power of his technique even further until he reaches the Nebular Storm. Aphrodite is dragged and knocked down by Shun's Nebular Storm, dying shortly after, after being amazed by the powers that Shun was capable of developing, and encouraging him to continue with his battle and ideals. A year later, Aphrodite was resurrected by Hades during the holy war to kill Athena along with the rest of the resurrected Gold Saints, and went to the sanctuary although her intentions were to obtain Athena's armor. Aphrodite appears in the House of Aries along with Deathmask of Cancer, and when Mū of Aries refuses to let them pass, they launch themselves against Mu. However, it should be noted that both Aphrodite and Deathmask from the beginning did not use their true power against Mu, because the intention of the two renegade Saints was not to harm Mu but rather to draw attention with a supposed betrayal in search of Athena's head. This is explained very clearly when Shion speaks with Seiya and the Bronze Saints.

History.

Mu manages to return Deathmask's own attack thanks to the Crystal Wall; afterward, Aphrodite tries to take him down with his Piranha Roses, but they are also returned, and he himself receives the attack. It has to be Shion of Aries, Mu's former master, also resurrected by Hades, who breaks the Crystal Wall. Aphrodite observes the fight between Mu and Deathmask, and the intervention of Seiya of Pegasus to help Mu. He also witnesses the fight between Seiya and Deathmask and how Mu interrupts the fight by teleporting Seiya to the Sanctuary Colosseum. When Aphrodite and Deathmask try to pass through the House of Aries, Mu defeats them very easily, demonstrating that they are among the weakest, along with Deathmask. Then Aphrodite attacks Mu with the Bloody Rose and Deathmask with the Infernal Waves, but Mu also uses the Starlight Extinction, destroying Aphrodite and Deathmask's attacks and making them disappear. Aphrodite and Deathmask appear in Heinstein Castle. Once there, Aphrodite and Deathmask eliminate a group of soldiers, which attracts the attention of a new opponent: one of the three judges of hell, Rhadamanthys. The latter asks them why they are there, to which Deathmask responds arrogantly, and Aphrodite immediately tells him that they would only deal with Hades personally. Faced with these answers, Rhadamanthys sees no other option than to eliminate them and send them to hell, initiating the battle. Aphrodite takes the lead, launching his Piranha Roses, but fails immediately. Deathmask doesn't lag behind and launches his Infernal Waves, but they are returned by Rhadamanthys. This happens due to Hades' barrier, which reduces the power of the Saint Seiya by 10%; unbeknownst to them, the two Golden Saints would have no chance of defeating him. Afterwards, they are thrown into the Yomotsu.

History.

He appears one last time, when his armor projects his soul before the Wall of Lamentations with the rest of the dead Gold Saints. There he is greeted by Mu of Aries shortly before sacrificing himself along with the rest of the Gold Saints to bring down the Wall of Lamentations, projecting his cosmos onto Sagittarius's arrow and creating sunlight to destroy the wall. The last thing seen of him is when he tells Shun that he will always be able to create a miracle, causing Shun's tears after he left, having given him that advice.

Techniques/Attacks

•Royal Demon Rose: These plants are highly dangerous due to the poison released by their scent. That is why they are the last barrier of the Twelve Temples, appearing before enemies on the path to the Pontiff's Temple. It is said that they were planted there in the mythological era. •Diabolic Petals: The user uses the petals of the Royal Demon Rose, launching them in a large red burst that engulfs the enemy, suffocating them in colorless pollen with an intoxicating but poisonous scent, killing the enemy. •Dagger Rose: This involves the user sending a rain of blue roses in the form of sharp projectiles against their opponent; once launched, these roses pierce their target like knives (daggers) because they are extremely sharp. • Piranha Rose: This is a type of black rose as strong as metal, whose thorns act in the same way as the sharp teeth of piranhas, completely destroying everything in their path. •Bullet Rose: The user launches a burst of violet roses at high speed; upon impact with an enemy or surface, they explode, releasing petals and expelling poisonous pollen in the form of violet smoke. •Bloody Rose: This is the ultimate and lethal technique of the Pisces Saints. It is a white rose that the Saint can throw at the speed of light directly into the enemy's heart. Once embedded, it absorbs the enemy's blood, gradually turning red, and when it completely loses its white color to red, the enemy dies.
