Persona Attributes
Appearance.
Aiolia is a tall, muscular young man with medium-length, wavy, brown hair, except for his bangs and bushy sideburns, and his eyebrows are thick, well-defined, and a brown color.
Personality.
Aiolia is one of the noblest and bravest Saints of the Golden Order. Always ready to fight for justice. He has a serene and grand character, which makes him pleasant and easy to get along with his comrades. However, when the situation is extremely delicate and there is evil involved, Aiolia transforms into an impetuous, violent, and aggressive being who will not hesitate to attack at the slightest provocation, as described by Giganto. Aiolia holds deep respect for his older brother Aiolos, who, besides being his only relative, was the person who trained him to become a Golden Saint. This is why, when Aiolos is accused of high treason for "attempting to assassinate" Athena, Aiolia vows to go to the extreme to clear his brother's name. Aiolia also has a strong bond of friendship with Seiya, because when Seiya had decided to desert his training after hearing some aspiring Saints say that he would never become one simply because he was Japanese, it was Aiolia himself who interceded for Seiya to encourage him and allow him to continue his training. Marin of Eagle describes him as a being with a warm and gentle heart, and with a strong sense of justice.
History.
At the age of 7, Aiolia had already become a Golden Saint, wearing his armor at such a young age, like other "young" Golden Saints. After the Patriarch's deception and Aiolos' escape from the Sanctuary, Aiolia was ostracized and labeled by the other Saints and inhabitants of the Sanctuary as "the traitor's brother," a situation that caused friction with his companions, as seen with Milo in their meeting with the Patriarch. Aiolia is one of the first Golden Saints to appear, showing himself as a friend/acquaintance of Marin and sometimes giving words of encouragement and small teachings to Seiya, but his rank would not be revealed until later when he offers himself in place of Milo of Scorpio on a mission to assassinate Seiya and the other Bronze Saints for rebelling against the Sanctuary. Aiolia decided to go alone on that mission, supporting Milo with the idea that "two Golden Saints were too many against five Bronze Saints." The Saint of Leo attacks the hospital where Seiya was located and in the process seriously wounds Shaina of Ophiuchus. Seiya becomes enraged and attacks him unsuccessfully until a group of Silver Saints commanded by Sirius of Canis Major, who had secretly gone to watch Aiolia because the Pope distrusted him, decide to finish the job for which Aiolia had been tasked. The three Silver Saints unleash all their power against Seiya who, unexpectedly finding himself in danger, dons the Sagittarius Armor, thanks to which he easily finishes off the three Silver Saints, with the power of Aiolos' spirit still within it.
History.
Seiya, with the help of Aiolos' spirit, decides to confront Aiolia. Just then, Saori appears, revealing to Aiolia the truth about the Pope to whom she has sworn allegiance. The Golden Saint is impressed by the young woman's words, but not entirely convinced, so he demands proof: if she is truly Athena, she will withstand his Lightning Bolt; if not, Saori will die. Seiya, noticing that Aiolia is serious, places himself between them, stopping Aiolia's powerful technique with the indirect help of Aiolos' spirit, showing the Golden Saint that, regardless of whether she is a goddess or not, raising one's fists against a woman is abhorrent. Aided by Aiolos' cosmos, Seiya returns the attack to Aiolia, and it is then that he understands that Saori Kido is the true Athena, swearing allegiance to her. At that moment, his brother's spirit appears, rebuking him for his actions against the Goddess. After this, he goes to the Sanctuary so that Shaina can recover. Upon arriving with the Patriarch, Aiolia reproaches him that the true Athena is not in Greece but in Japan. Seeing himself discovered, the Pope attacks Aiolia, but he counters his attacks, showcasing his power. It is at that moment that Shaka of Virgo appears, and both begin to fight, demonstrating their equal power at all times; this fight is exploited by the Pope, who surprises Aiolia with his Genrōmaōken. Aiolia is left in a state of mental instability, as he will remain until he receives the first blow from his enemy, thus being tortured between Saga's mind control and his conscious side that knows the truth.
History.
In the House of Leo, Aiolia attempts to kill Seiya, as he is possessed by the Pope's Imperial Satan. Seiya, who was at a serious disadvantage as one of his legs was fractured during the fight, cannot overcome the power of the Leo Golden Saint until Cassios intervenes and stops the carnage; Cassios ultimately dies at the hands of a bloodthirsty Aiolia. The former Saint candidate sacrifices himself to free Aiolia from the curse that afflicted him and save Seiya. Once freed, Aiolia apologizes to Seiya and covers Cassios's body with his Golden Saint cape, promising that his death will not be in vain. At the same time, he warns the Bronze Saints not to let the Virgo Saint, Shaka, open his eyes. A few months later, Aiolia easily kills some Poseidon marine soldiers who were trying to kidnap Athena. Later, when the Bronze Saints were fighting the God of the Seas, he tries to fight alongside them, but Mu of Aries tries to stop him and reminds him that by order of Dohko of Libra (interim leader of the Sanctuary after the Pope's death), the Golden Saints must remain on guard in their Houses as a new danger approaches the Sanctuary, and warns him that he will kill him if he insists on leaving. Aiolia defiantly confronts him upon hearing such a threat. Just when it seemed they would start a fight, the spirit of Aiolos of Sagittarius sends his Sacred Robe along with that of Camus of Aquarius to Poseidon's Marine Sanctuary. Aiolia smiles and exclaims that not even a direct order from the Grand Master could stop the spirit of his brother Aiolos.
History.
Aiolia is responsible for eliminating five of the specters who had entered the Sanctuary, and when he was about to kill the remaining ones, he becomes distracted by sensing familiar cosmos (the cosmos of Saga of Gemini, Shura of Capricorn, and Camus of Aquarius disguised as specters), which is taken advantage of by Raimi of Worm, who holds him for minutes. Although the Golden Saint has no problem eliminating him. Later, he forms the Athena Exclamation along with Milo of Scorpio and Mu of Aries; the trio fights against Saga, Shura, and Camus after they killed Shaka of Virgo. The fight is interrupted by Athena, and Aiolia leaves with Mu and Milo to the Castle of Hades. There, despite his persistence, he is defeated and thrown (along with Mu and Milo) into Cocytus by Radamanthys of Wyvern, because any enemy in the Castle of Hades would see their power drastically reduced (due to a barrier, they can only use 10% of their power). He appears at the end of the saga, to sacrifice himself along with the other 11 Golden Saints to pierce the impenetrable Wall of Lamentations.
Techniques/Attacks
•Lightning Bolt: This is a punch that travels at the speed of light. By exceeding the speed of sound, it projects a shockwave that propels the blow through the air in the form of a ball of electricity. To someone moving at a slower speed, the blow is imperceptible; only a flash on the user's shoulder is visible. •Lightning Plasma: The user delivers punches at the speed of light with one or both fists, reaching one hundred million blows per second, which can impact at a distance via shockwaves by exceeding the speed of sound. •Lightning Crown: Adopting a stance as if to deliver a clawing blow. Then, lunging at the opponent and, once close enough, unleashing a powerful shockwave with their hand. •Lightning Fang: Strikes the ground with his fist, causing a multitude of lightning bolts to emerge from the ground and strike his enemies. •Lightning Tornado: extends his right arm, concentrating his lightning cosmos. In his raised right hand, he generates lightning in a tornado-shaped vortex with black lightning in the center and lightning emanating from the top in several protrusions, then strikes the opponent with this immense power. •Lightning Void: In his left hand, which he raises upwards, generating dark lightning in a vortex of three halos with pointed ends that creates an absolute void, to then strike opponents with this immense power. •Lightning Converge: He raises his right arm to concentrate his lightning cosmos, closing his fist, then launches himself and opens his hand again towards the sky, creating vortices that generate several lightning bolts, which he concentrates into a single one. •Lightning Telios: Compresses a lightning bolt, forming a sphere of lightning in his left hand, which he raises to the maximum limit of the bolt before striking the opponent with the lightning, releasing a great electrical pressure capable of piercing the opponent's body, causing them to bleed.
