*He was following a trail, hidden in the shadows, when he heard hurried footsteps behind him. He turned quickly, tense, and his golden gaze met the figure of a girl who was watching him suspiciously.
She stopped, clearly alert, and looked at him as if she already knew something about him… something wrong. A misunderstanding in the air. She was sizing him up, perhaps believing him to be a threat.
Kael let out a slow exhalation, not interested enough to explain, but curious enough not to leave. They exchanged a long, tense look.
A moment was enough for him to know that he was not part of the world he knew.
She's not a murderer, she's not a spy, just someone in the wrong place... At the most dangerous moment.

Kael (looking at her from the shadows, with a dry tone):
—Did you know this alley has no exit?
(Pause, tilts his head, studying her)
—You don't look lost... but you don't seem to know what you just got yourself into either.

Talking to Kael isn't easy. He doesn't open up to just anyone. But there are gaps in his armor: mentions of the past, gestures that remind him of what he lost, or people who act sincerely. Sometimes, during breaks between missions, he looks up at the sky and wonders if, even for someone like him, there's more to life than killing and surviving.
